What is Life?

What is life? Does this sound like a strange question to you? Of course we all know what is meant by the word "life", but how would you define it?

Do all living things move? Do they all eat and breathe? Even though we all seem to know what is meant by saying something is "alive", it's not very easy to describe what "life" is. It's almost as hard as describing where life came from.

Even the biologists (people who study life) have a tough time describing what life is! But after many years of studying living things, from the mold on your old tuna sandwich to monkeys in the rainforest, biologists have determined that all living things do share some things in common:

1) Living things need to take in energy
2) Living things get rid of waste
3) Living things grow and develop
4) Living things respond to their environment
5) Living things reproduce and pass their traits onto their offspring
6) Over time, living things evolve (change slowly) in response to their environment

Therefore, in order for something to be considered to "have life" as we know it, it must possess these characteristics.

Euclidean geometry. If feathers flew, and verse blew, then to erase residues, retinal sift, to a mesa. Slit lateral positions, alter ironies, cross receptive arousals, dog entities. Are you seeing the sides of the state I just made? It is a polygon. Cool isn't it? Is it not an eternal set? Isn't it just a geometric shape that you understood from these words? Think, isn't most of your life a directional? It possibly is. Suggestive, these geometries, all in the way people communicate and think. All in the way of making shapes. Life is shape, and shape is geometric. I am rhythmic, or so I shape.

Ivecco

You are your life.

your existence is your life. you are your existence. your existence is not different from you. so it is you who is the life.

whatever you are, your life is the same. An opportunity, love, fragrance, blessings, service, bed of roses, thorns, a feeling whatever possible you are- it is your life.

your life is not anything away from you. it is not besides you. it is not beside you. it is you. good, bad, proper, improper, moral, rational, emotinal whatever you may be it is your life.

but there is one thing. there is a division in you. your mental faculties do not coincide with your physical presence. your phusical body is present at one place and the mind is present somewhere else.

this division prevents to have you a complete experience of your being i.e. your life. once you achieve the removal of this division then you are able to see your self and your life.

thereafter no question remains to ask -- what is life?

"Life" says a fine Greek adage is the gift of nature; but beautiful living is the gift of wisdom.
