Hello. I have to do a big project over an Indian tribe of my pick. I have found several that I am interested in and I would really like to do this project over a "warlike" tribe; a tribe who did a lot of fighting, scalping, etc. (I know, sounds weird, but everyone in my class is going for the real "laid back" easy going tribes.) I was wondering, in your guy's opinions/knowledge/Internet, what was the most "warlike" Indian tribe? I have found several that were warlike in specific regions. Anyone know anything about the Mohawk Tribe? I've read that they killed and ate their captives. True? Thank you so much! I just need a little help, I have been doing research for ever! Thank you!

Is any one as satisfied as I that the protestant conspiracy theories about the Vatican killing millions of people are finally being removed from the history books? More and more people are becoming aware to the fact all protestant peoples joined forces with the Jews, the pagans, the Muslims, and all enemies of the Vatican to spread a lie so dirty the creators themselves began to believe them and fill their history with "vicious lies". Every word spoken against the pope is a lie and another protestant conspiracy against God incarnate, the pope. No Catholic would ever harm anyone or lie about history or the things they experienced, certainly not the Pope.

The Vatican's records show that only 5000 people suffered under the Vatican's rule, contrary to the lying records of all the other European, African, American, and Asian countries who lied with 'stories' of genocide.

I have a new coworker who is a dancer. I don't really understand the whole semipro ballet/jazz dancer stuff. Sometimes I feel like I'm walking on eggshells in conversation, Im very scientific. Any tips on what is cool/uncool with dancers, just trying to make this work.

I have read a few, Macbeth and the one with the rooms which are different colors during a banquet, when all the kingdom is inside the castel a "killer" (disease?) comes and kills them all, the rooms symbolize the stages of life or something, (what is this story called by the way?)

What is another good story to read (just list some very good ones please).

I just discovered ballet, and would love to try it ( i posted another question about if there was hope for me in ballet..). But I also want to be involved in school things, so that a scholorship might be an option. So, in spring, I have to choose, b/c doing both would be way too time consuming and wayy to much money. I was a cheerleader in 8th grade and I liked it, of course i tried out to see if more people would like me :) I ended up enjoying Competitions and football games the most when being a cheerleader. It was really fun, but i couldn't do any flips, and that kind of puts you "low" on the cheer scale :) So, i'm under a circumstance where I have to (emphasize "have to") take a backhandspring class (b/c i dropped the class, and we can still use the money for a new session of classes this spring). So, I'll learn how to flip soon, then what? This is where i get lost :) I can't decide. I'm kind of scared for cheer, because I'm nervous, but something keeps telling me to go with ballet

droughts, a world-wide flood, bubonic plague, malaria, polio, dysentary, spiteful popes, wars with early Islam, 2 World Wars, solar flares, holes in the ozone, the explosion of Mt. Krakatoa which caused world wide food shortages for the next year, and a multitude of other disasters over a period of many thousands of years.
Many of you believe the world is going to end and you continue asking about it.

Why do you believe that, after all that man has survived in the past?

Disaster..i tried...
not sure if i lied

in any case..this is bad
i pray to not freeze your heart..but..

we're heading for a cold up front
no time to mop a puddle..i won't.

we cannot ride without a saddle
and not while our horses are tangled;

I drew a sketch of you in a silhouette
because there was no color in my pallette.

Okay, so I just got the Rebel XTi a couple weeks ago... It's my first DSLR, so I really know very little about lens etc... I want to be able to take headshots and I have with the kit lens but I want something better... I was told by a photographer the 70-300 IS would be great.... Will this really give me the best headshots?
Also, from what I've read, the 70 -200 L is amazing....

Thanks so much!

how old do you have to be?

2007-12-03 10:55:44 · 2 answers · asked by Anonymous in Theater & Acting

We have the capacity, if not the will, to form large open networks of friends and acquaintances with many and varied personality types and backgrounds included. This capacity in fact form the basis of the Small World Theory, where each person is connected to each other person by only up to six links if only one percent of all people travel internationally.

Yet instead of forming large open form social groups, we instead form small cliques where to be a part you have to fit the mould. These cliques, while often forming in larger populated areas, occur in academia (both teachers/lecturers and students), in religious rites and acceptances, workplaces and even in governments. Often cliques are the sources of racism or other prejudices and harmful gossip/rumours.

So my question is, why do we form small social/working/academic/religious cliques, what purpose does it serve and what need does it fulfil in us?

Please note : Answers stating that either ‘I don’t do that’ or focusing on one section, unless making a point, will not be considered. This question deals with the overall psychology of cliques and not one individual form of them.

Please explain your answer if possible.

Thanks.

I need to read a novel, play, 5 short stories, or a book of poetry by a writer from any country besides the US and/or England. The writing can be classical or contemporary, but I'd appreciate an exciting read!! As I figured this would be an awesome opportunity to read something awesome, I'd like help to find the "perfect" book.

For example,
Anna Karenina (but TOO LONG!!)
Prisoner of Tehran
Stolen Lives by Malima Askar
something by Pearl S. Buck
A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Baeb (which i own and am thinking of doing)
From a Crooked Rib by Ruddin Farah
By Bread Alone-Mel Mermelstein?

Much as I love The Kite Runner and its sequel, neither of those are available.
I've already read The Good Earth.

Thanks!!
