I doubt that you actually love yourself less now that you are older, especially since you would ask this question. My guess is that you are coming to terms with the fact that the fantasy future that you built for yourself as a child is nothing but an illusion. The paradox of it all is that life is nothing more than how you percieve it. All of the money in the world won't make someone happy. What you need is a feeling of accomplishment (in anything.) Basically do your best to impress yourself with any talent that you have, and you may find that your reality is better then it was before, and that life gets better over time.
You've heard that life is hard many times, and these are the types of things that can make it that way. Here are some great books on subjects that deal with these sort of thoughts and feelings.

Quite the opposite darlin. I've found that as life is whipping by my space in this world I not only find more love and respect for myself but a huge amount flowing over for others. Other people of all stripes and origins in life.
I like that!
This makes life so much more valuable and the future so much more sweeter to come.
I like that a lot!

Ok - this may sound narcissistic, but it's not meant to be : I find that I actually love myself more, but love humanity less. It seems that as I get older, I better understand and accept myself. But I also get more cynical, and think that the human race is basically on a course for self destruction. I hold out hope that we may yet get it right, and save ourselves. But the power of money over man is unprecedented, and if any of us had to survive on our own, we would be screwed. That - and the fact that noone sees how messed up our current situation really is - worries me.

I can see by the timeline exactly when you wrote this question. It may come as a suprise, but I actually grow to love you more and more. Don't be so tough on yourself. You dont think i'm a fool, right? So if I love you, maybe you should try to love yourself just a little more (-;

The opposite is true. I love myself more every day. I get so happy with me sometimes that I am dissapointed that I cannot hug me. I am a wonderfull person, and what impresses me the most is my honor and integrity. I am not affected by what others think. I aspire to do right and do good to others without challenging their preferences, insulting their integrity or prejudicing their individuality. Oh I love me so much more since this minute!

Yes, life becomes harder as you grow and it becomes too overwhelming until you fail anytime. As you see yourself failing you realize that you love yourself less and less.

Yes why not...! It is true because nowadays one can find himself being frustrated and for him it seems that the world is getting narrower for him as the life goes on.

I'll say for myself : No. I was much helped by Francis de Sales and his arguments about loving yourself. Anyway, if I loved myself perfectly and no one else did -- Now that would stink.

Not necessarily; there are also people, who love themselves more and more, as life goes by.
