I would like to see the 7 wonders of the world before I die, what else should I see? I have seen the Mona Lisa, but found it hardly impressive; rather overrated *ahem*.

I realize President Truman made the final decision. However, my question is did Douglas MacArthur express views on the atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima, beforehand or afterwards; privately or publicly.

God Bless our veterans, they did so much in WW2, helping to end Cold War. Hate it they have not gotten better care and treatment and are in this inept mess in Iraq.

I've tried most every genealogical resource I can think of and I've come up with nothing that I didn't already know, which is very little. What I do know is that Daniel Ulric Segrest was born on May 19, 1909 maybe in Oklahoma. Died September 22, 1997 in Comanche, Oklahoma. He was Married to Willie (Billie) Rebecca Sowell (Sewell), we know neither the date nor the location. She was born about 1920 and died about December 30, 1975. I don't know the location of either event. They had one child, my father, Phillip Herman Segrest, who was born April 30, 1936 in Comanche, Oklahoma and died August 28, 1991 in Cambridge, Ohio.
My father died a number of years before I was interested in this and my mother doesn't know anything about the Segrest side. I would appreciate any help from anyone, anything you might know.

If in the beginning of Hogwarts, each of the founders had their own students and those students belonged to their house, wouldn't all the students of the different houses each have their own technique in magic? Ex. Ravenclaw taught those of the sharp-minded, which meant that she took in the smart people to be in her house and she chose to teach them. The other founders had their own picks and each taught their own students. So would that mean every house would have their own techniques, spells and skills?

Said Slytherin, "We'll teach just those
Whose ancestry's purest."
Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose
Intelligence is surest."
Said Gryffindor, "We'll teach all those
With brave deeds to their name,"
Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot
And treat them just the same."

"For instance, Slytherin
Took only pure-blood wizards
Of great cunning, just like him,
And only those of sharpest mind
Were taught by Ravenclaw
While the bravest and the boldest..."

I have to create a BIO BOARD.

I'm in AP European History.

It has to be about a western PHILOSOPHER - the guy has to be a philosopher.
OR
A school of Philosophy.

I don't know about these... but I found these people on a website:

Saint Thomas, Saint Augusten, NOT Saint Paul.

John Paul Sarcter.
