When my mother went hungry to feed me and it appeared as though she was satiated more than I was once I had my food.

You mean love for another person? So many kinds of love! I think in terms of...mutuality of discovery. Not discovering, or being discovered. It's just THERE. The eight year old love for the boy who gave me TEN valentines in school one year. I think that's where it started. Was it love? It was a "kind" of love, certainly. Even nature reaches out with love to those who return it.
I was "sure" of every love, because there was only joy in them. Never ended with bitterness or pain; just different paths chosen.
The love I knew was my soul mate when first I looked at his face, was my husband. He will always have a very special place, but never to the exclusion of others.

We don't discover LOVE, it is something that is everywhere and we feel it almost every day wether it is family love or love for anything. Sometimes we feel it stronger than before and that is when we say we have discovered it for the first time. I have never "discovered" love and I don't think I ever will.

Well, it takes time and resources. But, I have not quite discovered love yet, although of time, I know, I still have some. But, about resources, I think, I am always scarce...and that's the reason love always eludes me! I am quite sure, that by the time I organize the resources (if at all), time, which is fast-fleeting, may very well run out on me. Guess, I have posted a sad answer, and some of my dedicated contacts will surely be the sadder for me. Sigh!

When i kept giving and meditating my feelings, and I was and still happy of doing this, without any thing in return. Not even a smile or a head nodding thank you.
And I will always be ready to do that and I will never regret it.
When my mom never cared of herself. All her concerns were to make us healthy, happy, and successful.
When I am doing the same with my kids, I know I love them to the extreme. But what matters for me is when will they know that this is pure love and not domination.
I love the ones I love, because my heart dances and shivers as I see them. I wait for nothing from them except seeing their smiles, hearing their voices, knowing they are doing well in life, and feeling they are around me

I discovered I hadn't known love, till I was about 30 when I met someone who obviously loved me unconditionally. It is something that can't be mistaken, when someone cares about and is devoted to the real you with all your foibles and even through the worst of times.

October 1st, 1994, 3:30 AM EDT. He leaned in for the goodbye kiss, we both knew we weren't meant for one another, so he said, "I shouldn't do this." But he did. Perfect troubadour courtly love parted lip but not open mouthed kiss. I saw stars and lights and rainbows. It took me 13 years to get over him, I think that counts as love. I am wiser now, that at least I can thank him for.

Well, I think I discovered love when I was a little kid and knew that my parents loved me because they took care of me.
When I had my first baby is when I was sure it was love. I was sure because that baby was a gift from God, so perfect and innocent.

When I was thirteen years old, I saw for the first time the guy that would make my world upside down. he was Fifteen, years old and I could not take my eyes of him, we started talking as Friends and finally we did become Girl/Boyfriend. If I told someone of how he made me feel like my Heart would burst, when I saw him, they would have laughed at me. When he confided in me he felt the same way when he saw me, I knew in my Heart he was meant for me, and I for him. When we got Married, I was 16, and he was 18, years old. it was in 1958, and we have always maintained our Love for each other for all this Years. I have never regretted us being Married so young, but now in this day and Age, I would not recommend it to no one, because this generation, has different values, and they lack maturity and knowledge to persevere, than in those days.
