At my old job I worked on drawings using only photoshop! it was hard work and I know a vector drawing program would have made my life easier...but work wouldnt buy one. (I just fell into photoshopping cartoons for fun-but had been hired for data entry).

In any case, i want to seriously start learning how to draw crisp vector illustrations but don't know which program is best...and which program is used more in the industry.

I'll start saving up money when i get an answer! thank you!

I am a writer and have recently discovered some ebook sites. I was considering sending in a manuscript, but was not sure if there were any actual profit or if this was a waste of time. The ebooks webite says that the writer recieves 35% com. But I was not sure if this was a very popular way to read books.

ok i just watched the history channel on notradomus and he said form the years 1992 to 2012 we will have great changes and destruction. It said that on 2011 we have to make a choice and decide if the world need to lead to a new beginning or the end of the world


is this true?



look it said from 1992 to 2011 we have global warming happening, 9/11, and everything! I really dont want to die ill only be 19 years old.

I love to take photos but up until recently I have not had anything but a point & shoot. I Just got a Canon XTI but most of the photos you see are with a P&S. I was jsut wondering what you thought of my photos, Any talent/Eye for taking pictures.

Help, my Auto Level is giving me a red gradient! Most of the time when I do some color adjusting I use curves and levels. Sometimes I like to see what effect I get when clicking on, Image>Adjustment> Auto Levels and very often liked the result.
Now when I try Auto Level my image is turning red on me (a "red" gradient). I've been trying to resume the default feature and correct this problem to no avail. I haven't a clue as to why this would change on me.
Any suggestions as to what is wrong, I've never had this problem before?

Hey, I just finished writing my first book tonight (well my first rough draft anyway) and I was thinking...

I remember reading Stephen King's "Misery" where Paul Sheldon always has a glass of champagne and a cigarette just after he finishes a book. And I was wondering, do any of you other writers on here have rituals like that? I was thirsty so I went and grabbed a Ginger Ale from the fridge, not much, but it could be a tradition I guess...

So tell me, do you have any rituals like that, or do you know of any other authors who have rituals or traditions when finishing a book?

Is there a relationship b/w the Huns and the Mongols? Both were originally Turkic that grew in number through a coalition with other Turkic tribes. I've also heard that modern day Hungarians are descendants of the Huns. If this is true, then why don't they look more Asiatic, especially when considering the Huns were present in China?

ok i have this art project and i have to ''bring something to life.''

ok so pretty much i have to write a paper about how i would treat my 'people' if i were a conqueror....which is all well and fine but i need examples from history and i cant seem to find any to support my arguments, which are these: Socially, i would allow my people freedom so that they don't feel to caged, and they wont be prone to revolting. religiously they can preactice what ever religion they want as long as they stay respectful ( i was thinking of using Akbar as an example here). And Politicaly i would put my own leaders in control and take the political power away from the leaders that i had conquored.



I hope this is'nt to hard to understand, and i'm sorry for any mispellings...i'm just sort of freeking out because its do tomorrow, and usuailly essays+history are my strong points...and i'm not used to having to ask for help!. lol
