Look around your own home for inspiration.
For example, the famous abstract artist, Pablo Picasso once created a sculpture of a bull's head, using only a bicycle seat and the handle bars.
Nothing more. But it was his artist's eye that saw the possibility of the two pieces, combined, to make an entirely different, unrelated object.
I can suggest: A milk carton and plastic spoons and forks to make a deer. Or a pipe cleaner to make a curly tailed pig. A Tinker Toy angel. A watermelon and four apples make a bus.
It's your project. Get thinking.

The first step is to envision what you want to do . . .
What do you think would be interesting? If you want to make a sculpture of a bird then figure out what material you want to use to bring it to life.
It seems to me that a living subject would be easier than an object. You could do more with a subject that has motion.
Once you decide your subject and what you want to use the rest is easy. The hardest part is to get started. And if no one else likes it . . . its art . . . if you enjoy what you've created don't let others minimize your efforts . . .
Good luck ! ! !

The grill of old cars (40's, 50's) look like faces - headlights - eyes, grill teeth, hood ornament - nose. Banana splits look like faces - banana - mouth, ice cream scoops - (cheeks, or breasts), cherries - eyes, whipped cream - hair. Mountain ranges look like people reclining on green couches - the rocky outcrops their faces. Cloud formations look like just about ANY living thing. (They say that's how Michaelangelo got the idea for the "God and Adam touching fingers image on the Sistine Chapel ceiling. ) A bowl of fruit or vegetables could look human, so could a plate of spaghetti and meatballs. How about a basket of laundry or the dishes in a sink? Car parts spread out on a tarp - cogs, brake parts? Gun parts. Simple baby toys - blocks, rattles, pacifiers?

hmmm...im not sure if u've found ur idea yet,but why not make a silhouette of a person or a couple out of flowers?..use dark coloured flowers like purple to make the silhouette n use some nice mixture of other colours like red, orange n yellow to make the background(like a sunset)...its something simple, yet it brings the "romantic" feeling out n thus brings the art-piece itself to life..

Do you not think the idea of an art project is to help with your ideas and observational skills?
Maybe it's just me but I think you should use your own imagination and you'll get possibly better results.
