Whether we adhere to the Neo-platonistic view of Numbers and Mathematical Objects as “REAL”, or prefer the Formalistic contention that they merely represent formally constructed structures and relationships, it appears that their underlying QUANTIZED nature is ultimately inherent. ... Does this intrinsically quantized nature mean that not only our Physics but, sadly enough, even our Mathematics [as it stands today] is doomed (i.e. breaks down) when it comes to penetrating "beyond" the Planck Scale?
.
.

Obviously, I am asking this question from a "Philosophy of Mathematics" point of view, however, should you have any physical and/or applied mathematics insights to offer, I would be eternally grateful! :-)

Thank you for your comments.

I work at a portrait studio now and have been in photography for the last 8 years, part of me wants to go to school and learn enough about photography and how to run a small business. The other part is worried that photography is a dying business with so many people doing their own photography with digital cameras & photoshop. Is it worth all that school ,money & time?

they be? For example, i took pictures of the moon and without thinking, I thought they were ok, but I realized the moon was blue!....I had forgot to reset the White Balance from previous use. Luckily, the moon was still around for me to use Auto White Balance, and took more normal looking pictures of the moon. More accurate color, but blue moon is still fine looking.

or will future generations be telling Jewish people to "get over it"..
.. and no my question is not anti semtic. African Americans are told the very same things about slavery - "to get over it because it ended 200 years ago"... "to stop focusing on something that did not affect them personally", etc etc

For all those who will say that the Holocaust should not be forgotten, I would like to ask why the same rules are not applied to the African slave trade. Why must we forget and dismiss one tragedy because it happened so long ago [and more people died during the slave trade by the way] yet forever focus on another tragedy....?

The girl was killed by a jealous lover.....she died in a peculiar way. I don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure it's in America, and that it happened somewhere between the late 19th to early 20th century....

(The town might have been renamed more than once after.)

Will a giclee capture the texture of an original oil painting? I fell in love with the work of a particular artist on ebay (link below) who uses heavy palette-knife technique and was wondering if it would transfer? The description states it is hand-embellished.

Thank you!!

Seriously. When I was a kid and I didn't know something, I had to go to the library to look it up. Lots of work. Very annoying. But now, anyone can know anything about anything with just a few simple keystrokes: en.wikipedia.org

Is it that some of you are unaware that wikipedia exists or are you truly too lazy to go there and look things up or are you just basically functionally illiterate? I'm genuinely curious here. Why do people ask questions on Y/A and risk getting half-assed or incorrect answers when you can just go to friggin wikipedia? You don't even have to do a Google search for Christ's sake. You just have to go to wikipedia. Are today's young people really that stupid and lazy?

The book “Medicine before Science” explains how physicians in the Middle Ages were concerned with their being able to predict the outcomes of cases. It was all about how they built their reputations and convinced their wealthy clients to trust them (the "Business of Medicine"). So then, were they really there for the good of the clients? Or did they just want to make money?
