I understand Hitler hated Jews, homosexuals, gypsies, and etc, but why send them to camps. I have learned that young healthy people were used as slaves, but what about the old weak ones? They had to suffer in camps--why didn't Nazis just shoot them and make their death fast instead of long and torterous? I know this is a harsh subject but please just give me KIND and thought out answers.

My mother always said her dad was of half french and half scotttish ancestry. I have done some geneology research and discovered that the "French" ancestors actually came from Germany or Prussia in the late 1700's to the early 1800's.

One of them was born in Wurttemberg in 1730 and died in Kentucky in 1804. Another was born in Prussia in 1790 and died in Indiana in 1880.

Why would my mom be lead to believe she was 1/4 French if she was really 1/4 German?

I used to work in a library when I was in middle school and read about every new book that came in to the place.

I recall reading one but the name escapes me.

basically the story went like this:

A girl is having trouble with her family never having time with her, so she makes up a story about some one trying to rape her, but she was able to fight him off.

to add more truth to the story she smacks a sign really hard to injure her hand.

however the problem escalates as the description she gave tot he police matches that of a serial rapist.

well the cop investigating is suspicious of her story and warned the girl about what happens when you file a false police report.

that is about the most I can think of as the story goes.

I do remember that it ended with her taking all the medicine in her medicine cabinet and going for a run, as she was about to black out she called the cop about what she had lied about.
