keep the hair out of your eyes... You need a better background for artsy Try maybe some decorationsor something outside in the background . Plus there are certain cameras ... high end and ways to take photos ... black and white that almost always look artsy.

But other than that not a bad picture.

pretty girl, but the picture doesnt look artsy. maybe if taken outdoors in a field or something. just looks like a random photo to me

It would look prettier if I could see the person's face. It's definitely not artsy. The back round is really weird. I LOOVVVEEEE the hair color though.

A little to "emo" for my taste. Looks like something that belongs on MySpace. Choose a different background. Do something drastic to the color or contrast to make it look more dramatic.

From an artistic perspective, it has potential. Firstly, you need to make the background less random and more "perfect". Second, you need to get quality lighting and use a camera that doesn't capture a flash. And lastly, I am not sure how you did it, but you need to get rid of the shadow behind your head. After all of these, I'd say its an amazing picture. :)

I think the background is detracting, throw a black or white sheet up and stand in front of it with that pose. You look cute, don't let the rest of the photo detract from you!
