I was talking to a close friend and i asked her 'If You Could Have One Word To Describe Your Life. What Would It Be?' And She Said 'Eh'. It got me thinking. I Couldn't Find One Word. I was wondering how others would sum out thier life. :-)

Reconnaissance - Arna Bontemps

After the cloud embankments,
The lamentation of wind
And the starry descent into time,
We came to the flashing waters and shaded our eyes
From the glare.
Alone with the shore and the harbor,
The stems of the cocoanut trees,
The fronds of silence and hushed music,
We cried for the new revelation
And waited for miracles to rise.
Where elements touch and emerge,
Where shadows swoon like outcasts on the sand
And the tired moment waits, its courage gone—
There were we
In latitudes where storms are born.

I have to make a replica of a colonial pipe for school with clay. (It can be any sort of pipe)

I'm one of the least artistic people in the world and have never worked with clay before, so I have no idea what to do.

A step-by-step guide would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Also, the pipe needs to be somewhat disguised, because it's points off if the item is too obvious. (Other students will have to try and guess what it is.)

I know this description is vague, but I'll be happy to clarify any details if needed.

Thanks in advance!

Got an 1880 census entry that for an illness had the entry "dripcee".

My gut feeling is that it is a misspelling of "dropsy" which is kind of what we call endema these days. Given the very rural nature of the area, I assume this is a home diagnosis vice a diagnosis by a "doctor" so maybe either the census taker just didn't know how to spell it or the family said this was the "disease".

But before I just write this off to misspelling, has anyone actually heard of a medical term used in the late 1800s call DRIPCEE?

I was just wondering if you could take InfraRed film and find the problem spots of insulation in a house. I have an older film camera that the manual says you can use IR film in. I am willing to try it, but figured that I would ask here first.

The pictures would not need to be too terribly clear as long as it showed where the heat was going.

supporting the view that the Holy Spirit is a force in fact ALL believe that the Holy Spirit is a person?

The Watchtower Society often cites various Greek scholars in apparent support of their interpretation of the Holy Spirit. For the record, however, let us note that although the following Greek authorities are cited in Watchtower literature, ALL OF THEM BELIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A PERSON:
F.F. Bruce
A.T. Robertson
R.C. Trench
John N. Darby
J.H. Thayer
Marvin R Vincent
W.E. Vine
R. Young.

The Watchtower is utterly deciptive in citing such individuals in support of their view.
