The vast majority of Disney auditions are in LA. Anything in Dallas would not likely be posted in the newspaper. Something like that is more likely a scam front for John Robert Powers or some company like that who makes unsuspecting newcomers THINK they're auditioning for a shot at a Disney or Nick show when really all they will get is the chance to pay way too much money for worthless classes and get lied to.
It is always possible that Disney will shoot something in your area and decide to cast some roles locally. In that case you will need to have an agent because they will send a notice out through the breakdowns and agents are the ones who will receive the casting info. If for some reason Disney did do an open call in your area, you should be able to verify it by checking the blog that OnCameraTalent (fellow answerer here) has set up or calling Disney directly and checking it out. JRP has a well known ad campaign where they lead people to believe that they will be auditioning for Disney but it's all lies. The line goes something like "Would you like to audition for shows like Hannah Montana and Zoey 101?? Notice it doesn't say you will be auditioning for and it says shows 'like'... legally they're safe that way, but all the regular person hears are the names of the shows and 'audition'. I hate that they get away with stuff like that...
Anyhow, what you need to do is get yourself some training. Get into classes for acting, dance & voice. Then audition for theatre. Start building a resume that way then *** student and indie films when you can. Check backstage.com and actorsaccess.com for auditions. They're not completely free so have your parents check the sites out first. They are completely legit and they're industry standards. They can message me if they need more explanation.
As for legit agents, here's a link to a list of 9 in Dallas that are legit but you are not ready to submit your photo and resume to them until you've had training and a resume with legit roles.

No your other answerer is right only in LA. And only for experienced professionals. Like all of the other thousands and thousands of young teens who are dying to be on Disney Channel, it will never happen for you. Even if you trained to be an actress, by the time you were ready to audition for them, the programming will have all changed, because it takes years to become and actor.
