I am rather uncomfertable staying in a urban locality where roads are full of vehicles.....people are occupied with comps and cells and evenings are all about blurring noise of tvs and radios....would like to live in a countryside....where would it be? a place where i dont have to verbalise everything.....where i can see rainbows.....feel raindrops.....dance to the tune of my inner joy.....

as we know, Japanese suffered a great loss after the World War II, especially Hiroshima and Nagasaki after the two atomic boms are dropped.

Also, 57% of Tokyo's dwellings and 60% of Okasa were gone by the end of WWII. Their total industrial production was at a 10% of prewar level

So Japan suffered a great loss.
However, as a sword has two sides, what are some of the advantages that Japan gained or benefits which they got as a result of the war?

PS: Please inform me if there are any wrong info i've typed, thanks

So...i've come to the conclusion that life pretty much sucks and always will suck and people are just total idiots, so what do i do now, just deal with it for the rest of my life while trying to maintain my sanity?
its not really my personal problems that make me hate life, it's the realization that other peoples lives suck and that there are so many cruel and greedy and stupid people out there pointlessly making each others lives miserable and they refuse to listen to reason.
so for my fellow cynics, what approach do you have to your own life and what do you think i should do with mine?

Lets perhaps mention Macbeth's downfall of his insatiable ambition. But ambition isn't necessarily a bad thing.Could it be about power thats so alluring?Power corrupts;absolute power corrupts absolutely...so goes the adage. If its only about recruiting effective men, then Hitler might have graduated with honors...well in modern history, anyway.

I recently came a across an old roll of 35mm film which I believe is exposed but was never developed. I think it's about 12 years old; probably just some pictures of friends partying in highschool or something like that. It has been sitting in a lot of different places over the years but most recently I found it in the centre console of my car where it has likely been for at least a year. Where I live it gets very hot and humid in the summer and very cold in the winter so I figure temperature damage is likely since it's been in the car. It's not in a case, just the roll itself. It's Kodak Gold Plus 100, 36 exposures. What are the odds that anything on this roll is salvagable? Thanks!

Please answer in terms relevant to your life (not world peace ...), i.e. peace of mind for more money...

What would you trade your serenity for?

Windows.

Upon the gate,
There hangs a note,
Something rote,
Twighlight's fate.

Doors of jade,
Brush the moon,
Daylight soon,
Playmates fade.

Shutters tight,
Tied to tears,
No more fears,
No more night.

Only broken light.

I'm a high school senior this year, and I'm a relative newcomer to the stage, but for the past year or two it's been one of my favorite extra-curricular activities at school. I have no interest in pursuing a career or anything, but I have a lot of fun and I was hoping to continue in college. Are there typically open parts in productions for students like me? (And, if there are, are they typically...well attended?) Most of the schools I'm looking at are smaller liberal arts schools like Middlebury, Swarthmore, Kenyon, Wooster, etc. not large universities, if that makes a difference...

Comments and constructive critisism would be nice...
And I am 12 so I don't know if that makes a difference at all.
One of the shorter ones I wrote.
&I think it sucks.

Where is all the comfort when you need it the most
As I lie in this hospital bed as white as a ghost
Although I cannot speak I am calling out for help
Thinking of all the memories I left sitting on the shelf
I feel these are my last words, Words I will never say
I am tired of my empty life passing me day by day
Never again will I see the sunshine
Never will I see the rain
Never again will I feel this horrible pain
I need to force just one more smile
I need to draw just one more tear
For these are my last words, Words I will never say
Before my life drifts away.

My problem is kinda different from most. I'm right handed, but my dad is left-handed so all of our guitars are, too. I'm wondering, is it a good idea at all to learn right-handed guitar with the strings upside down (thickest facing floor, thinnest facing up)?
