Absolutely nothing. True peace of mind means not caring about the things that you do or do not have. Of course, peace of mind can probably only be achieved, at least by most people, by already having all the things they need just to get by on a daily basis- money to support themselves, to eat, shelter, and some leisure time. And all of these things are privileges. So to have peace of mind you must either have these things and not need anything more, or be one of the lucky few who does not have these things but has learned to live happily without them. But, if you do have peace of mind, you need nothing else, at least I wouldn't so I would not give it up.

If I did not have peace of mind I would give just about anything material for it, such that I could live my life without needing to worry about my possessions or standing.

But isnt it the sacrifices one makes that leads them to the peace of mind?
