as we know, Japanese suffered a great loss after the World War II, especially Hiroshima and Nagasaki after the two atomic boms are dropped.
Also, 57% of Tokyo's dwellings and 60% of Okasa were gone by the end of WWII. Their total industrial production was at a 10% of prewar level
So Japan suffered a great loss.
However, as a sword has two sides, what are some of the advantages that Japan gained or benefits which they got as a result of the war?
PS: Please inform me if there are any wrong info i've typed, thanks

After world war 2, the victorious allies spent a lot of time and money rebuilding the countries they'd just defeated. So as a result the Japanese infrastructure was reconstructed fairly quickly. Also, as a result of US influence the Japanese industrialized much more thoroughly than they might have otherwise. And because they were embracing US corporate culture and consumerism they built products for the US market, the largest consumer market in the world.
This is what led to Japan becoming a massive economic giant.

First they gained Peace after their defeat in a war they started. The rid themselves of the militaristic clique which brought them into the war. They gained a working democracy with a non-violent constitution. All their living troops returned and helped make natural-resource poor Japan into an economic powerhouse today with the 10th largest population on Earth, and the 9th highest GDP. They gained the protection of the US which shielded them from Russian expansionism (except for Sakhalin Island) and allowed them to become one of the top economies in the world, while they spent virtually nothing on defense. So, to sum up, like many other nations they have built themselves up while we 'had their back', something many people, even our own citizens seem to forget.

They learn from experience that war can only bring misery to people. But through their loss, Japanese know how to stand up again with a monumental effort, a miracle leap from a rubble. They now understand the real value of a pieceful life.
