This is for fun, people! Please look at it that way!

She’s always complaining that he leaves the toilet seat up after taking a pee. She claims if he were respectful to her he would put it back down after he’s finished.

He says she’s being just as disrespectful expecting him to leave the toilet seat down because he would have to raise it again to use it. And he says if she were really respectful to him she would raise it after she was finished using the toilet.

Can philosophy be applied to each or either viewpoint?

Have fun.

This is for fun, people! Please look at it that way!

She complains to him all the time because he is always leaving doors open or forgetting to close them: cabinet doors, bathroom doors, closet doors, etc.

His retort is ‘Why should I worry or bother with closing them when we’ll just have to open them again?’ I’m just saving us time.”

Sounds simple. But is it? Imagine this as an issue beyond the home. You want to apply your vision of philosophy to this argument?

I'm talking about the book not the movie. Anyway, has anyone read the unabridged version of it? I came across it in a library one day and got completely hooked. BTW - my attention span is non-existent, I rarely ever even read books. I had read about 400 pages, and then I found out I was reading the abridged version. I got pissed off and stopped reading it! I really want to read the unabridged version, the only thing that is stopping me is the fact that it is over 1300 pages. To those of you that have read the unabridged version - do you think it was worth it? Or am I better off sticking with the abridged?

I had an idea for somthing to write but I wanted to know if it was too cliche. I know I've read a few books with similar plots but I just wanted to know what you thought-

There are two neiboring kingdoms seperated by a forest.
Hundreds of years ago the two kings had a fight. As the years passed by their sons took to the throne. None ever forgave the other.
years on one boy, Aimery James Amos (Aimery Amos) wants to know why he isn't allowed through the forest.
One night on the eve of the kings birthday he crosses through as a dare.
In the other kingdom he meets the kings daughter. She thinks he is form her kingdom. He likes her immediately they share a kiss adn then he has to leave.
The king tries to prevent hteir relationship but in the end aimery and the king end up friends. Aimery's kingdom launches war over the other adn aimery fight alongside the king(his friend one) then aimery marries the princess and become king.
Does anyone have ideas for the princess's name?

I am a university student looking for plays to recommend for next year's season. Our class wants to find a comedy with a relatively large cast (8 and up), a classic (Shakespeare or Greek), and a contemporary drama (any size).

We have slightly more women than men, but it is about equal.

The musicals that will go with this season are possibly Titanic, Rent, Sweeney Todd, and Little Women.

Where can I find information concerning the role of the Other in literature. Even a basic definition would help, but I would also love to find something describing the traits of the archetype.

So I am writing 2 extended metaphors/poems in english but I feel that they can be inproved and be made into something so much better.

1st:
Night is
a dark blanket of mystery
for you to explore

it falls over the day
and covers it mystery
you can explore it
you can discover it
you can escape

Day and night are a natural balance
Feel them
Live them
Discover them

2ed:
Creativity is another reality
a compleatly different world
you can tune into it
you can tune out of it

You gain a whole new level of creativity
give it your sole
give it you touch
give it yourself

I want to make the second one so much better and try to express in words how I fell when I am painting/sketching in art. I just get in tune with this whole other place and everything pours out of me onto the paper like im putting part of myself into it. So any tips/suggestions would be much appreaciated.
