I'm considering auditioning for a movie (a big screen film, not independent, etc.) and I wanted to know exactly what happens there. In auditions. This movie in particular is probably going to be a pretty big hit, so I'm not expecting a major role if I happen to make it, because I know they'll want someone well-known for lead roles (obviously). I'm just wondering if the auditioning process is anything like an on-stage performance audition...where you perform a monologue or two and wait for a callback, etc.

And I'm not being naive, I'm very good at acting/performing, so I wouldn't be auditioning in vain. (Please don't mistake my confidence for conceitedness.)

So, if anyone is familiar in this area, please answer.

Hi, does anyone know how to make a fake cigaro or cigarette that looks like smoke is coming from it? I need to make one for my drama class, which I think would be pretty cool. Any help is appreciated.

A friend of mine once argued:

Wisdom is a "specialized" knowledge which is a direct result
of a posteriori which means it comes from experience. However intelligence is accumulated through experience as well, and there can be no other real alternatives. Think about studying for instance, It is an activity which is being experienced as well, but is regarded as the soul source of intelligence. So wisdom can't be in a separate category to intelligence, if so it would be a 'specialized' form of intelligence, but intelligence none-the-less.

Also if wisdom is the tautological (logically correct) application of knowledge, the position of having the ability to know how to do this can be said to be intelligence because knowledge regardless of context is knowledge and the position of obtaining knowledge is intelligence. So they are not separate things.

Well I read a lot, I'm 15 and i like most of the popular stuff (ie HP, twilight series, the clique, gossip girl, the it girl, alex rider series, 1-800-where-r-u etc.) and I've read all the books in those series, now i'm kind of looking for just books, not really series cause i get too hooked on em.
so any suggestions would be great (and I've read all the rachel hawthorne books too) thanks!

Just how much should you trust your intuition about the relationship and that person?

And if you have to let go because of distance issues, should you hold on loosely or let fate do its' magic?

If one lets go of love, should they assume that it will come back to them, whether in the form of the same person, or some else?

Do you think it's possible to have a truly original thought? Something that no one has ever thought of before? Why (or why not) do you believe this?

This was something I was thinking about at work today :)

Hey, I get if if you don't know the definition, but doesn't 'undefinable' mean you think the word has no meaning?

Isn't the prerequsite of philosophy at least an attempt to define the ideas you are exploring?
