during revoultion he held an army and his leadership that was superb held a ragtag ill prepared army together that even after going a year of defeat held together because he was with them.
he refused the title of king, after revoultion many officers wanted to make him king.
he set a precedent for the prsident to be simply called Mr. president instead of his majesty or his highness, and also he set a precedent of two terms at most in presidency, broken only by franklin D. Aroosevelt who was elected 4 times would have been 16 years if he had not died.
