I'm talking about the book not the movie. Anyway, has anyone read the unabridged version of it? I came across it in a library one day and got completely hooked. BTW - my attention span is non-existent, I rarely ever even read books. I had read about 400 pages, and then I found out I was reading the abridged version. I got pissed off and stopped reading it! I really want to read the unabridged version, the only thing that is stopping me is the fact that it is over 1300 pages. To those of you that have read the unabridged version - do you think it was worth it? Or am I better off sticking with the abridged?

If a book is worth reading, then is always better to read ALL of it. i have read the unabridged version, and though it gets tough in some areas, mostly due to Dumas' extensive attention to details and descriptions, it is an enjoyable read. Take the time and you may suprise yourself. Oh, and the book puts the movie to shame.

Check out www.borders.com for the unabridged version about $13

I don't know you, but I'm proud of you for trying something like reading a difficult book. Hope you find the unabridged and enjoy that, too. Good luck!

This book is amazing. Sometimes you have to struggle through the slow parts to get to the good stuff. If you get frustrated, stop for a little while and then read a few more pages. The movie was total crap BTW.
