I just published my first book of poetry, "Poetically Shaun: an Epiphany". I am not completely thrilled with my publishing contract, but alas, the book is actually on the market. At this stage, I need to push hard to market the book myself. Can anyone suggest the best way to market my book? I plan to do book signings, I plan to pass out flyers, I have a website (through yahoo), but I'm sure there is something I'm missing. Please help.

I'm in possession of a print of a painting of Mt. Fuji. It was purchased at an estate auction in the late 70s/early 80s. In the foreground is a shoreline with two deer standing on it and a lake with a Torii gate in it. (I've been told that lake is located near Hiroshima, someplace called Miyaima Island). In the background is the peak of Mt. Fuji rising out of white fog. The lake is bright blue. The Torri is not red but rather an oak wood color. Mt. Fuji is a bright dark blue with white snow cap. The print does have a Japanese signature, with two parts to it. A friend of mine who is Japanese said that the lower part of the signature is the character for warmth/sun. The word they said sounded like Yo or You. They didn't recognize the upper part of the signature. Oh, the print came in a bamboo looking frame.
I would appreciate any info about the print, such as age/name of artist/whether it's actually Japanese...

I was so sorry to hear today that Robert Jordan passed away. Not onyl was I sad for him and his family though, I am davastated about the Wheel of time series. I'm a huge fan of the series (although I'm only on book 3), but this is awful news for fans. Does anyone know anything about plans he had concerning the publication of book 12? Did he plan ahead in case the worst happened so that the story could gte finished and published?

Ok, I need a good book to read.
I used to read books in high school and then I got into the Harry Potter books but I really need something for my age. Im 20 and in college and I need a good book to read. Something with an edge. I dont know whats popular or what is the best seller especially among women but I want something that will suck me into the book. LOL. i was wondering that since i read the book two days ago. it was a great book but it ended so... i dont no. it is like one of those movies where u see it and at the end it leads on to a different movie. like it keeps u hangin. if u ever read this book u know what i mean. it just ends "and kath, theo called" lol. but if u know the name of the next one or if there even is a next one i would be interested cuz i wanna read it sooo bad!!!

Imagine... you live in a very small island and that you have good potential in acting (although you've never filmed because making films is very scarce on the island); and doing action (stunts, fight scenes, acrobatic moves, and so on...), and that your greatest dream is that of having an opportunity for making an action movie.... But the problem is that you don't know from where to start and that on the island, films aren't very famous and actors don't get paid very well....Then what would you do to make a name.... to get a manager (a good one)...to entertain people with your skill... to show others what you've got??!! >>Keep in mind that the island you live in is very small and that no one has ever done what you want to<<

It is an Aztec warrior carrying a unconscious/dead Aztec princess.

I have been spending a lot of time on "answers" website espesially the Philosophy section. It is clear to me that more than 60% of the respondants do not believe in religion or faith what so ever.

My Question is this : When did we, the human race become so intellegent and advanced that everyting can be explained, including creation and afterlife ?

Basic principles are all of a sudden replased by assumptions !

Is this the dawning of a new era in spirituality or maybee the beginning of the end ?
