God wins, no ifs or but!
Philosophers, get their knowledge From Jesus Christ, through the Holy Ghost.
Everything you see belong to the God the Father, Jesus Christ is in charge of this Universe, by order of His Father.

This is an interesting question. I am assuming by "war of words" you are talking about a debate of sorts. A lot depends on the topic of the debate. However, i believe that philosophers are some of the best arguers and logicians. A trained philospher spends so much time evaluating evidence, arguments, and reasoning of some of the most complex and abstract arguments around. That is why they typically do so well on the LSAT and in law. Theologians typically do not try to use reason or logic to prove or disprove a particular claim. Faith by definition is beleive without the requirement of proof. A person beleives in God not because of proof (the Bible is not proof) but because they have faith in that belief. So, most theologians are not formally trained in logic and critical arguing unlike philosophers.

I don't think any one would win. Most people that I have interviewed before and after debates have a preconditioned mind set. I myself am a Christian and love a good argument.
One guy who makes a living out of debating Muslims, Roman Catholics, Mormons against the reformed faith is
Dr James White at www.aomin.org
if you like wordy debates between atheists and Christians you can download at this site

A vast number of philosophers have had a Judeo Christian ethical system and believed in God. So that is like saying if philosophers and philosophers had a war of words who would win? which is a metaphore to say who could prove their position to be correct? Can a philosopher prove his philosophy any more than a Christian can prove their Christianity? Or who can prove that they have the ultimate tao?

What determines the win? Each side will think they won. A more interesting argument would be between an atheist philosopher and a Christian philosopher. Then you would have an argument with a true logical winner. Who it would be, is another question.

there probably is a slim chance that they'd have a war of words
Christians have insights on...well, christianity mixed in with life
However, philosophers have insights on life in general....at least I think that's what they do.
I'm a christian and some sort of philosopher....I guess the two sides of myself coudl conflict but it would never be a war. One of the sides would eventually see that there is no meaning to the war.

My first and automatic thought would be philosophers, but Christians would put up a fight no matter how wrong/right the philosopher is.
They might not cave. xD

The philosophers would default due to intolerable boredom, and the chattering monkeys would carry their victory rocks off.

There have been many such discussions that have taken place through out the century's, but they have been on a scholarly level. They might have been heated but not on a acrimonious level, so there were no losers, just more knowledgeable participants.
