I need to choose a book to read for English class by a British author. I want to read something that is pretty easy to understand and not a huge book that will take me forever to read. Do you have any ideas?

!)There are more churches in New York City than in any other
city in the nation, and more crimes are committed in New York City than anywhere else. So, if we are to eliminate crime, we must abolish the churches.

2)On our first date, George had his hands all over me, and I found it nearly impossible to keep him in his place. A week ago Tom gave me that stupid line about how, in order to prove my love, I had to spend the night with him. Men are all alike. All any of them want is sex.

3)Tagging by graffiti artists has become a terrible problem in recent years. Obviously our schools are stifling the creative spirit of these young people.

When compared to the French Revolution, what was so revolutionary about the American Revolution based on the results.

American: Independence, republic formed

French: King is executed, dictator exiled, aristocracy toppled, republic formed, slavery abolished

At the end of the American Revolution, the same people who were in charge before hand were in charge afterward, while the French revolution revamped the entirety of French society. The life of John Q. Public really did not change after America's Independence, while France looked nothing like the France of 1788 when the dust finally settled.Do we place to much importance while overestimating the influence of our own revolution?

Hey,
I'm a student in Highschool who is just interested in photography.
Well for me my 'dream' camera is one of Leica cameras.
I heard there performances are legendary.
I'm mostly interested in film cameras but, well i'm in highschool and it is impossible for me to proccess the pictures in the way i want.
Therefore i want to get a Leica M8 which contains same system as M series.
But would it worth to spend $4000 for body and $1000 for the lenses?
What would you recommend?

B: Hello.

A: How’s everything?

B: Fine. I guess.

A: Do you know what time it is?

B: No. Not exactly.

A: Don’t you have a watch?

B: Not on me.

A: Well?

B: Well what?

A: What did you do last night?

B: What do you mean?

A: What did you do last night?

B: Nothing.

A: Nothing?

B: I said, nothing!

A: I’m sorry I asked.

B: That’s all right.

I am looking for a very high quality printer/self publisher with excellent quality. I read in a magazine about software you can download that would enable me to do most of the work on my computer but lost the cutting. The book would contain many high resolution photographs. Qulaity rather than price is the main concern here.

i received a very brief and and vague assignment to read a short passage in our western civ. book and to write about 200 words based on it, as a historian. basically, we're supposed to pretend like we're a historian and write as if we only know about the passage we're reading. any thoughts before i just wing it? thanks in advance!

I dont really have a concrete idea. Ive always been interested in writing and I want to actually compose a book and have it published. I care nothing about making money off it, I just want to write it. I have a few ideas but Im looking for something more to expand off of. I know where to go once I have an idea, I dont need people telling me to brainstorm, I have some ideas, I just want an outside opinion that I can run with.. anything will help, I can run with a small idea or add onto a larger idea.

It is a painting, maybe from the impressionistic period. A young woman is leaning back in a wooden lawn chair, a bonnet on her head, a full creamy dress with lavender trim. She is gazing off into the yard surrounding her.

{sorry guys&gals, just came down from manic town and this is what I wrote, a bit morbid}

Finally Dream

Slip inside my mind
and close you eyes
Listen to the voices
telling many lies

Lies about others
wanting me to believe
Especially the lies
they tell on me

Whispers low and frightening,
subtle touch
To pieces of my mind
used not so much

Rested dark and dormant,
simmering
Plotting an attack
on the pain they bring

Blades have scared my skin,
razors cold, profound
Lined up on the counter
for another round

Endorphins got the back
of my unsettled mind
Racing to fend off
what is not their kind

Blood drops hit the floor
almost deafening
Tonight I’ll close my eyes to
finally dream...
