Have any of you male baritone singers ever sang,"Close to You" by Karen Carpenter? If you have, what key did you sing it in?

My teacher said she sang in the tenor range. But you could probably have the piece transposed to your range.

The poster above is misinformed. Karen Carpenter was NOT a song writer, merely a singer. She did not write songs for herself or anyone else. However, yes, a male baritone could sing "CTY," however it was really written for someone with a lighter, sweeter voice. Why not try something a bit more suited to your voice.

For the purposes of this contest, the answer is yes. Karen Carpenter songs can be sung by just about everyone. I can't think of even one song written by Karen Carpenter which a baritone couldn't or wouldn't have the ability to sing.
