I might be in a production of The Matchmaker and would like to know. I may end up playing Minnie Fay. (they will announce who gets what parts tomorrow) Thanks in advance!

It would serve you better to thoroughly research any roles you audition for prior to auditioning for them. Unfortunately, I have not had the pleasure of reading the play you refer to, so I could not tell you. If you really want the part, you should go out and pick up a copy of the play and read through it.

Reading through the script before you even audition gives you an edge over others who are not so prepared. Essentially, you know the who what why when where & how of it all and that lends itself to making you better able to understand the character which you wish to portray. Too late for that now, but perhaps you will remember this for your next audition.
