From this weary vantage place
I take in the smoldering stage
One by one my ragged cast enter
Find their well worn marks and slur
Tormented lines conceived alone
Carved from desolation's stone
Hard and loose, covered in dust
Drawing the pain in the hearts of the lost.

Need an image for the second stanza, I want to play with the drama/stage idea. Any help would be good....

I recently bought a beautiful painting. I wonder its value.
http://www.image-upload.net/files/7826/IMG_5566css.jpg
The four characters at the very right are as follows "xiang jiang chun wu"
it means “Spring Mists over Xiang River”.
It says Xinhai year March 30.
Xinhai year is the year of the Xinhai Revolution.
The date must be March 30 1911.
Xinhai year comes every 60 years.
March 30 1971 is another possible date.
I appreciate if you can estimate its value.
Thanks in advance

...And I can take either side of an issue, and debate each side equally well...Why does spinning logic chains of point/counterpoint hit that part of my brain...?

(It's almost...segs-u-wal...if you know what I mean..." and same thing with Astronomy and science in general...what the heck is going on?)

I think the central character was a male child. One of the main artifices of the story was the ability to travel from place to place by leaping into pools of water. I believe, obviously my memory is a bit hazy, okay a lot hazy, some of the pools of water were colored. The colors would allow you to know where you were traveling, otherwise it was just standard looking water.

The boy did not know about the teleporting pools of water until chapter one or two of the book, meaning the first time we see him travel he is very surprised. Anyone got any clues?

I couldn't. There's too many distractions.

By the way, J.K. Rowling is working on a detective novel.

I'm not fond of detective novels, but I'll reserve my judgement of hers until I read it.

I like to acknowledge all the people who spent time to share their ideas and thoughts regarding death in my fist post "Death, a reflection: are you ready to die?" Time, as I’ve gathered from your reflections, is important. So I’d like to thank you all for sharing part of your remaining time with me in reflecting about death. (^-^)

I’m only 18. I have dreams. Beside from being a Christian and beside from knowing that we all are dying beings the moment that we are born, I too am human not to ignore death. I’m not afraid to die. I also worry for the people close to me. I admit, I’m not ready to die. And as some of you have mentioned that people who fear death are those who are not ready to die. But I don’t fear death. I only fear that I might die unprepared. I’m still young and after reflecting about death, it bothers me when I sometimes ignore the possibility of my death, especially now that I pursue first and prioritize my future. But I’m not that totally happy. I’m not sad either.

I am looking to upgrade my camera and I am just wondering what camera you use or would recommend purchasing. It would be mostly for my children at the moment, have really taken an interest in photography and would like to span out and start taking professional pictures eventually (children, maternity, weddings, etc). I have a couple of courses I am looking into, and need to hone my skills, but I would like to start off and get familiar with a GOOD camera. Any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
