Can you provide some urls of websites that have an updating list of art competitions for teenagers/ high school students?

Also can you provide some national art OR photography OR writing contests held yearly that a teenager can enter (ex: PTA reflections contest)?

thanks!

I know for a fact I have Hispanic ancestry along with German but everyone identified as 100% German. I am curious about this but don' t know how to find out more. The origins are probably from Mexico and some from Argentina.

I believe in right and wrong. I think that hurting is wrong. Helping is right.
However, I've heard from a number of people that "right" and "wrong" is subjective. What are your thoughts on this?

Well, the only person I know with a piano is my grandmother and it's more of an organ than a piano. She's a really crappy teacher too. I've tried to learn from her and it didn't work.

I have very little money. I make maybe $20-$30 a month. Is there a way I could learn? I love the way a piano sounds and just think it'd be so cool to play it.

So, long story short: I'm low on cash, have no possible teachers and want to know if there's a way to learn.

That is a lot of water. We all learned in school that people thought the world was flat. I also learned that many people thought that the land they lived on was the only land. Is it possible that the water only looded the area Noah lived in? I know the Bible is the Truth. But, the people that wrote the Bible must also have thought the world was flat. So, they would think the Flood covered all the world.

It's a long shot, but this book - at least parts of it - have stuck with me for years, but I can't remember the title or author, and I've never been able to successfully search for it using plot keywords. I read it in 1986 and I believe it was a fairly recent release at that time.

The story revolves around a girl who believes her mother is dead, spending the summer with her grandmother. The girl ends up being convinced to sneak into what turns out to be an AA meeting where she discovers that her mother is actually alive.

2 things I particularly remember: one scene where the girl is pretending to be asleep while g-ma is trying to talk to her. The g-ma offers her her favorite ice cream - peanut butter and chocolate - but the girl still tries not to move - the g-ma says something like about seeing her jump. The other is at the end when the girl & g-ma are talking about seeing the mother and the g-ma refers to the friend who showed her the meeting as the "deus ex machina."

Any idea?

Like how tungsten light bulbs give off a more orange-ish glow as opposed to purely white light, is this the same for halogen?

I figured the Photography Section would be the best place to ask this because I believe lighting and the spectrum and such, etc, is something most professional photographers would know.

Okay so here's my theory.

I believe that there is this "thought" that we're all living to discover. All our experiences in life and all the people we meet are supposed to help us figure it out. This thought is like the greatest secret yet it's very obvious. Kind of like when you lose your keys and then realize it was in your hands the whole time. I mean it's the kind of thought that would make a person slap themselves in the forehead and say "Duh!"

This "thought" is also like a thread connecting everything together. It is because of this thought that opposites attract and everything seems related and deja vu occurs. You can't quite put your finger on it but it's always on the tip of your tongue. This something...this thought...

Anyways, as soon as person can identity or isolate or name this "thought" or "secret", God takes them away before they can tell someone else.

What do you guys think of my theory? Do you kind of understand what I'm talking about or are you confused
