I am trying to find a short story by SK where a man drives a car along a road. The road or forest he is driving thru seems to change or transform and he ends up in some other location or looses hours of time... Any idea what it’s called?

I know this is vague – I read it a long time ago…

I'm really new to this so i would just like to know what happens, like when you get there will they give you lines to read while your waiting for your turn?
