This poem is as follows:
I cringe as I feel the tingle of your touch!
You burn my skin, yet I know that soon I will
feel the pain no more! Like a rabbit that
must hide in the hole, I hang my head in
shame, yet i know you will cleanse my
brain! My mind fills with a rush and you
have an etherical quality that gives me
a sense of soothing! Now, the feelings
wash over me like a wave washes over
the sand, and I feel only pleasure and no
more pain! Ah! Bliss and joy fill my veins
and seem to speak to me, saying, "We
are your one true love!" Yet, I know it is
all a facade and a lie, yet I can't deny the
everlasting feeling of euphoria!! As I close
my eyes and fall into the other side, I feel
no pain, at least for now!! But, I know it is
all a lie!

I'm trying to write a novel and am having trouble getting names. I googled baby names and got some baby name sites that list every name on earth by type origin and etymology, all of which takes years to sort through. I want names that aren't too common yet not so out there that it makes you think that the author is trying to hard. The names are for middle aged people living in Britain with Northern European origins.

Any tips for picking names?

I have a writer's market from 1997 (lol OLD haha) and I think it has a section in it that lists literary agents. Is the guide to literary agents more thorough for the genre you are looking for or what?

I asked this earlier and didn't get an answer for this question, so I'll try again.

I know that children's books is the hardest, but what about romance? Does anyone know the percentage of publications for that? Like how many are new authors, reprints, and publications by previously published authors?

Alone.

Alone is where you left me.
By myself broken inside.
No one there to help,
to ease the pain.
Betrayed and lost,
hopeless and alone.
I sit in the night
surrounded by the darkness,
right where you left me.
By myself broken and lost,
waiting to be found.
~Leigh~

So what do you think of it?

I have a document which is a transcript of Franz Ziereis' (commandant of Camp Mauthausen) "deathbed confessions" It is seven large handwritten pages, front and back, dated 12 August 1945. I searched online and found a similar document, but it is only one page and is worded differently. How do I find out if some of the information in this document should be displayed or studied at all? Who would I have look at it? Could I scan it into the computer and send it to a historian to look at? Who would I send it to? Thanks!

Is it great literature? If yes, in what sense? I'm not asking if the story is interesting or not. I'm wondering whether there is anything innovative or great in its style, in character portrayal, in narrative development, in perspective etc. Or is it just entertainment? If possible, I would be interested in such persons' opinion who have read a lot (of good literature) and are familiar with the basic ideas of what makes good literature. But any opinion is welcome. I haven't read the books so I cannot really form an opinion. Thanks

I have a constant list going of books I want to read and I can get kind of obsessive about finding books. It's like I feel like I should read every book review site out there just because I might miss something. I'm also addicted to librarything.com and the forums there, for the same reason.

How do you pick what you read? Do you just go to the library/bookstore and pick something out? Do you read book reviews? Check the bestseller lists?
