i'm really shy, w. stagefright, and i've never acted once in my life. but recently i've realized i want to act! i've always been really awkward in front of the camera and scared in front of a crowd, and being in the spotlight was neverrr a wish of mine. but lately i'm dreaming of acting (& especially sing - a secret talent i've never shared with anyone) but i feel it's unrealistic to go out and start acting now...at 16. i'm not trying to be famous (yet :D haha) but i don't think it's worthwhile since most kids have been acting since they were 3 or 4. i wouldn't even know where to start anyway. i don't want to audition for my school play and make a fool out of myself to my classmates until i'm 100% sure i really enjoy acting. i have a feeling no one would believe in me, and since i'm really quiet i think i wouldn't be taken seriously at all. but it's something i really want to do..and i've always been told to follow my dreams and all that. :) haha ..any advice?

I've tried to listen to one before and I dunno, I just don't get into it. Because you hear one static voice for every character that speaks. I find I get lost in it, who just said that? Especially when the person doesn't try to change their voice, or when they do change their voice and it's so...laughable. I prefer to read it myself I think, it doesn't put me to sleep that way.

Does it depend on the type of book it is? Romance audio books I bet would be a real drag...but then I'm a visual person anyway, not really an audio person.

What about you?

I'm 14. I know that nowadays it is important to be able to sing, dance, and act. I am singing all the time, because i love it, but i suck. I have never danced, but I'd love to give it a try (because 1)it looks like fun & 2) i can't dance, really). The only thing i have ever done is act, which i love, but i don't know if I am actually good. I've decided to change classes from debate to drama, because i realized that I really do love to act even if im not good (yet). I think I should probably take another acting class outside of high school, but I really don't think my family can afford just one class- it took 4 years for my mom to let me sign up for a sport, and even longer to get a pet you could interact with. Long story short, i have 2 sisters and single mom who is a good worker but didn't go to a university. Is there a real possibility i can make it as an actress when im older, a possibility that there are free classes that are actually effective?

my question is...when using water colors or oil pastels or regular pastels, do you first sketch what you are trying to make and "draw" it and then color it in with water colors or pastels? or do you just use the watercolors or pastels??? any other tips are great! thanks!

I was thinking about how much losses Germany undertook after its fail attempt on Britain bombing and brought about the weakening of Luftwaffe which was so much needed in easter front.

Could Germany do anything better by adhering to a diplomatic dealing with Britain instead to buy time?

Just one more, please

One more kiss from you soft, supple lips
One more hug from your strong, understanding arms
One more whisper from your honest, stable words
Just one more touch from your graceful, loving fingertips....

Which do you prefer? For me, I can type very fast however I go too fast and I end up writing worse. It takes a lot longer to write with pen and paper, and there's a lot of scribbling where I make small corrections...but I think its better in the long run. What do you think?

Don't You See

You look at me
but all you see is what you want
You don't like what I am
What I have become
You once I'll Love You FOREVER
Why did forever end
Don't you see
I do it for me, not you
As my mother I thought, surely you would understand
High hopes I guess
I thought to myself, why doesn't she care
You don't see them
The tears I cry
I try to hide them from the world
but everyone sees
Everyone except you
I tried so hard to be a good little girl
You just didn't look
Don't you see
I am still your same daughter
I just got older
smarter
You don't see
Why do I try
I just to hear from you lips
Just once more
I love you sweetie, more than the moon
Don't you see
All I want is my mommy

Ive been working on mine every now and then for some time now and it seems to me, although one never knows till finished, to be about half done.

I am at the moment just getting everything onto paper and will have some very intensive editting to do later on.

But for now I am wondering if there are any hidden rules to writing such a peice, and secrets I should know about to make it better, any ideas or tips from people who have written things like this before.

I really hope people will want to read it when Im done, its certainly a feel good story and it takes the reader on an amazing journey through the life of someone who we probably all know and wave to every day, but never get to know deeply. There is deception, deep dark family secrets and families in turmoil, there is all kinds of situations including romance, horror and bit of science, drugs, abuse and never ending emotional pain.

Anything I should know so I can be sure I am doing everything I can to make it work?

Which would you classify as the worst dictator based on their ideologies, the economy of the country during their reign and the way they treated their people. Oh, and by worst I don't mean that they were dumb and didn't know how to run a country, I mean like brutal and had evil plans etc.
