I'm 14. I know that nowadays it is important to be able to sing, dance, and act. I am singing all the time, because i love it, but i suck. I have never danced, but I'd love to give it a try (because 1)it looks like fun & 2) i can't dance, really). The only thing i have ever done is act, which i love, but i don't know if I am actually good. I've decided to change classes from debate to drama, because i realized that I really do love to act even if im not good (yet). I think I should probably take another acting class outside of high school, but I really don't think my family can afford just one class- it took 4 years for my mom to let me sign up for a sport, and even longer to get a pet you could interact with. Long story short, i have 2 sisters and single mom who is a good worker but didn't go to a university. Is there a real possibility i can make it as an actress when im older, a possibility that there are free classes that are actually effective?

Proper agents don't cost anything but they take from 10 - 20% of your wages. If you go into acting then you could be in soaps and dramas . Why don't you get a paper round or a small job so you can pay for acting classes yourself . If you are too young to get a job ( I don't know how old you have to be as I live in England ) and you are really desperate to do acting , drop the sport or choose between them.

Do this. Take a couple of years and take your hs drama classes and be in all the plays you can be in. You don't have to sing and dance to be an actor. I certainly am proof of that.
Agents cost nothing, but are very difficult to get. the only free classes are at school. You can check books out of the library for free and read about acting. And you can read lots and lots of plays. All helpful Dont get in a rush, like you said it is possible you can be an actress when you are older.

Agents are free. It she's charging you, she's conning you! She earns her money when you do. She will tell you when she hires you that she will take a certain percent of your earnings but other than that she is totally free.
