am i going to be the only teenager there?

i dont want to be stuck with a 40-year-old man as my partner. or not a partner at all.

(and no, the websites i looked on didnt offer any classes especially made for teens, they are divided by levels, beginner, intermediate, etc.)

Depends on the studio you pick, the area you live in and the class you pick. If you're going for social beginner classes you are likely to find the average age to be above 40. If you're going for dancesport (i.e. competition oriented) you are likely to find a younger crowd. In any case, you won't be "stuck" with a partner. In a beginner class, a good teacher will make you switch partners regularly. Later on, you're likely to find a suitable partner or dance with a teacher (it's called Pro Am) or dance by yourself till the right partner comes along.

first and enhanced, (I quote from a movie I observed presently) "dance starts with a dancer's thoughts". So in case you dislike him, ask for yet another companion. rather your dance instructor has different classes, and could have the skill to get you yet another. If that's no longer the case, then dance with this fellow, yet forget approximately approximately his comments. Dance on account which you decide directly to bounce, and experience it. do no longer enable him carry you down or placed you off. in keeping with threat my suggestion sounds much less stressful mentioned than achieved, yet i won't be in a position to think of of something. :( solid success with it in any case! :D

in my class I'm the youngest and I'm 17. but you don't stuck with one partner. generally every 5 minutes we change partners so that we don't get used to only one person. partner doesn't matter that much when you like the dance.
