As some conspiracy theorists have speculated?

Unquestionably. A recent revelation has Kennedy being shot by his limo driver, as documented on film which has recently become available for verifying that fact. Unfortunately, i've "misplaced" the link to that material, but probably findable via google, for example.

Kennedy was a "clear and present danger" to the CIA which he planned to revamp, and a major annoyance to LBJ, who had a hand in the conspiracy.

The gov't. as many now realize, is not a "servant of the people", but of the psychopaths --industrialists, "religionists", bankers, etc. who own the planet. :)) What a shock, eh? :))

Anyone who stands in the way, as did those two, of their insatiable lust for money and power will be removed.

There was a recent video I saw on some of the evidence supporting a conspiracy against Kennedy. From what I saw the evidence pointed to the men being actual mafia hit men (they were apparently able to identify two of the men). Any government cover up seems to be directed at the fact that the Secret Service was embarrassed and caught off guard. The reason I think that the government has tried to cover up the fact of multiple shooters is because they don't want to admit they didn't get everybody. As far as Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination I have to agree that while other white supremacists might have been involved I don't think the government was involved.

No but the government may have not made any real effort to find out if there were others involved. They just wanted things to quiet down. I have often wondered why people who believe in conspiracies, don't also see government conspiracies behind failed assassination attempts. Could they believe, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that the government is competent?

Not any more than I think the bridge in Minnesota was sabotaged. These things happen and someone somewhere will stir things up in hopes of causing a panic or making money off it.

No one would buy a book on the factual evidence behind the JFK killing. A ton of people have bought books about the conspiracy.

the oliver stone film jfk is full of lies which make it seem that there is some kind of a mystery around the assassination of the president.

there never was a mystery, quite a few of us who were alive at the time almost saw it coming.

when medgar evers - the civil rights activist - was murdered by a gunman nobody could ever find, quite a lot of people realised that it would be almost as easy for a lone nutcase with a god complex to pop off the president and make a name for himself.

it was just that easy to get a gun in america.

the people that are mainly interested in keeping america well-armed don't really care about presidents, civil rights leaders, or high-school kids getting shot - they care about profits.

lee harvey oswald killed jfk, acting alone. but it was the gun lobby that put the rifle in his hand, and it is the gun lobby which would like young americans to continue believing that there is some other reason why killing a president is so easy.

I do not think they were assassinated by the government directly, but probably some of the conspirators were inside the US government at the time.

It is obvious both men posed a threat to certain groups that had power, and these groups often have links to certain corrupt individuals within the government, but to involve the whole system is too far fetched for me.

I do not believe they were. Lee Harvey Oswald may well have had co-conspirators, but I don't think from the government. I believe James Earl Ray acted alone, although he could have confided in like-minded racists.

I don't believe that either man was the target of government assassinations. Nor do I believe that Lee Harvey Oswald or James Earl Ray acted alone.
