I never met my father, and my mother is very closed off to any discussion about him. I don't want to find him or anything, I'm just curious as to what my ethnic origin is. My mother is 100% Irish...which obviously makes me half-Irish, but when I look in the mirror I can't even begin to guess what the other half of me is.

Recently, I found a silly site called My Heritage, where you can upload a picture of yourself and see which celebrities you most resemble... I've gotten a few comparisons to Asian actresses on there, but I don't know if that necessarily means anything. Do you guys know of any real, veritable sites where I can just upload a photo and find out my ethnicity, and not which celebrity I look like? (Or, do you know of any other ways or means I could find out what I am?) Thanks in advance.

No, I'm not a student too lazy to do his own research to write a term paper. I'm a writer with an interest in the war years and would like to hear your stories. Do you have some memories to share?

Was the speed limit 35 mph nationwide?

Did you have metal (there was no plastic) shields over your headlights to block all the light from shining out except through a little narrow slit?

Was your home blacked out at night with no interior lights visible from outside the house?

Did you have paper tape pasted over your windows to prevent the glass from shattering?

Did you carry your food ration coupons with you at all times, or did you store them "safely" somewhere in the house?

Which foods were rationed, and what was your weekly ration?

How many gallons of gas did you get per week?

Did anyone in that era have more than one car?

Were there restrictions on travel in trains and streetcars?

Was your use of the telephone rationed?

Do you remember military traffic speeding?

I want to know who put the stone in Harry's pocket. He looks at in the mirror, then sees it's in his pocket and pulls it out. But who put it there? And did it say in the book and I just missed it or is it unknown?

"modern poetry shifts its emphasis from the limited canvas of the individual to a wider canvas of mankind, its movements and thinking in which' man' is posited in a ' spot'( the arc of blood by seshendra sarma, page 10)

I've seen both of these movies, I will admit they can be challenging to understand but once you open your mind to possibilities and you soon realize you understand it. Like "the secret" it's no brainer, law of attraction, I've tried the methods that it suggests and it has worked for me. All it takes is an open mind to think it is possible. We all were taught anything is possible in this world, why not manifest the things we want out of life. Being positive brings positive actions and negative thoughts bring negative things. Believe me I've tried it both ways, and it has happened to me. It will be different with each person. To some or most, it might work depending on you and your beliefs.

"Cogito, ergo sum". Or is it "I am therefore I think" ... Bear the question in mind. In failure find sucess! (they say failure is success turned inside out)... In dissaster try and find Laughter... In sickness discover what it means to be healthy... When faced with hatred try and see love.

All of us have positive and negative experiences, try and answer the question as it relates to you.... that way in asking you the question I am doing the opposite for I return your answer to you...

Try and live life this way and above all have fun with my question!

:-)

hair blowing behind you
like black silk ribbons,
laughing with crying eyes.
You hug me tight,
our hair mixing like day and night,
side by side,
when we're together,we fly like two butterflies
on a warm summer day
let's pray
that this day never ends
and we'll always be friends,
just holding hands,
in a golden dance let's play while we're young,
let's have fun
under the setting sun
and
if it falls on us,
you
and I
will fly.
Let's lie
under the stars at night,
the moon can be
our light.
eyes twinkling.
let's play with the
velvety black sky,
and smell the smell
of dark scary nothing.
We can be friends forever
or until the end of
today.
Watching the sunrise together,
remembering giggling with you,
laughing,crying,talk of dying
old and grey,one day.
or maybe we can live forever.
