First of all, stay in school. Actor's who do well are well spoken literate people.
Second, get training. Get yourself into acting classes. That's where you will meet other actors on the same path as you.
Third, get into theatre and students film projects, anything you can do to flex your acting muscles and build a resume.
Lastly, once you've done all that come back and ask about how to find legitimate agents. They are your link to finding auditions.

Hi,
it's not necessary to know actors before you can become one. To find out more about starting an acting career, I have put together a 28-page ebooklet that you can download for free at my site. The booklet is titled: What It Takes To Become An Actor. Just sign in and you can download it for free. Go to this page: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com
That should help you see what you will need to do to get started.
With regard to becoming famous, you should ask yourself why that is so important and if it's more important JUST to be an actor or to become famous. If it is to become famous, then I would suggest you rethink what it is you want. If on the other hand, YOU LOVE acting and you give it your heart and soul and always strive to be the best you can be, then you might have a chance at becoming famous. Statistics say that you probably won't.
You also might want to go and take the actor quiz as well:

Hope that helps!

First and foremost, you must learn how to correctly express yourself in writing. Working on your grammer skills will reflect your verbal skills.
Second, Advertising yourself is a big plus. Do you have an agent? Try looking for one in the yellow pages. try visting different ones. Remember, you shouldn' t have to pay anyone to represent you, agents pay you, the talent. Become involve in acting projects in your community, somethimes agents look for talent in local projects, searching for new faces.
And finally, audition, for parts, any parts you can, become extras, network with people, get a buisness card, the more you meet people the better oppertunity you have to meet someone that can help you.
Don't forget to be nice and courteous, you never know who you meet and how that will affect you.

you just need to be especially good at what you do and be unique, so people can recognize you and pick you out among millions of other wannabe actors. ALthough connection is good and all, it's not what makes you an actor. It's your talent that's important. Maybe one day a talent-seeker will see your performance on stage and be awed...

Join an acting class. Call the community college and ask if they teach acting classes. Actors need to know how to spell correctly.

You don't need to know an actor to become one. All you
have to do is attend auditions and perhaps if they see that
you can act they can give you small parts to play and it may
be the beginning of a great career in acting.

YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW AN ACTOR(S) TO BECOME AN ACTOR. IF YOU DID KNOW AN ACTOR, THERE MAY BE A BETTER CHANCE OF YOU GETTING NOTICED QUIKER, BUT YOU NEED TO KNW THESE PEOPLE. WHAT YOU COULD IS GO TO AUDITIONS AND TRY OUT FOR DIFFERENT ROLLS. IF YOU LOOK IN THE CLASSIFIEDS SECTION OF THE NEWSPAPER THEY ADVERTISE ALOT OF THE TIMES FOR MOVIES EXTRAS. GOOD LUCK.
