Personally I plan on not signing in for 24 hours after I get the book but I do plan on blocking anyone that gives away the ending.

I'm not coming near the internet until I finish that book. There's sure to be some jerks out to try and have some fun by ruining it for everyone else. Any spoilers should be blocked.

I think that it will just be a 'come at your own risk' type of thing for a while after the book is released. Obviously, people will be talking about the book. It's annoying, yeah, but we just have to be smart and not go to the sites where there is a good chance that people will be talking about the book. I probably won't even be going online at all until I am done reading. I did not wait all these years to see how the story will end just to have it ruined for me when I finally have the book in my hands.

You're smart. I wouldn't wanna have the book spoiled, but I guess it's inevitable, looking at all the people on Answers now. You know, I don't think I would block anyone, but I hope no one posts a question that gives something away in the question, not only in the additional details. Maybe I won't sign in until I finish, but I can't stay away from the computer, haha. I don't know, I just hope no one would do that. =)

I think this is one of those times where you just have to sequester yourself, and anyone who doesn't is taking a risk. You never know when a radio DJ or spammer or blogger or annoying person at the supermarket might just blurt it out, be it out of excitement or just to be a pain. The world is a loud place, and it may be easier to block yourself from the world than to ask the world to block itself. If someone wants to broadcast this to be annoying, no one will be able to block it quickly enough. I heard the ending to Sixth Sense before I got to see the movie, and know I would have prefered otherwise. It is important to not have good surprises ruined so that the experience including the ending can be personally experienced, and you are your own best source of security.

Yes, they should be blocked because reading is a great thing to do and it passes time when a person is bored so why should we have the books spoiled for us, when we are knowledgeable people and can read !!! Those people who are trying to spoil the ending won't know really how it was done unless they themselves read the book!!!

I am not goin to come online for sometime myself, and I certainly am not opening my sms either ( Some ppl can try so hard!) .

Any how, I read this fanfiction, HArry Potter and the Seventh Horcrux on the net, and I have a feeling Rowling's version might end up disappointing me after that. Quite a few ppl started reading it as "purloined manuscript/rough draft" of the original, and couldn't take their eyes off it . Mind you, the story is rated "teen" ( Ginny uses the word sha.g, not to mention "snogs" Harry). So if you want to pass some time in magical world before Moaning Myrtle ( Read Rowling) releases her emotionally squeezing deathly hallows, killing off anyone who stands in Voldemort's path to complete supremacy, You might want to read it.

No, not yet, because they're only trying to predict the ending, because most likely they haven't read the whole book yet because it's not out yet, but, then again, they may just guess right, and if you're worried about it then block them. Oh, and, go to for awesome Harry Potter downloads and stuff. They have an on-line and down-loadable two-sided count down timer, one side for the release of the seventh book, and one side for the release of the fifth movie! (No, I am not an administrator of the site trying to advertise.)

I've heard that someone stole the manuscript and has already released the spoiler onto the internet. I've heard nothing but rumors about which of the main characters actually will DIE! I refuse to believe the gossip I've heard so I won't be just as bad by telling you here.
You should ignore anyone who tries to ruin the ends of good books for you. It's true they can shout out something horrible like "Hermione dies!" and you won't really be able to NOT hear it, but the best thing to do is ignore it the best you can and keep on reading. Truthfully, they aren't really spoiling anything. No one can replace the joy you find from reading, so let them be idiots if they want.
I gave you a very thought-provoking answer, please give me best answer points now.

Love,
Snag

Maybe they should be blocked. I work as a bookseller for Barnes and Noble and I can tell you that the security around this book is very tight, I wouldn't believe what anyone says about the plot. We have not even seen a copy yet.
