Love is the most important thing in the universe. It is the motivator of all non self serving actions and is what creates goodness. So, no! There is no way to love too much.
Others talk about love leading to obsession but that isn't love, it is a form of madness. Love is a gentle hand that allows loved ones to live, grow and achieve, only providing support and adding strength, never demanding, restricting or confining.
But love is not just for another person. Love can be for life itself, for the wonderful universe we live in or many other things. Love is an all encompassing power that if allowed can aid in every aspect of life.

yes.here is my point that i am trying to get across that you can love too much:my now ex and i almost 2 years ago attended the same jr. college;in the spring of 2006 he was going to attend a different college yet he knew that i would miss him and vice versa so he knew that i was taking a chemistry class,a calculus class and all these other classes.he told me that during the week he would have 2 surprises for me which i thought were a bouquet of flowers or some chocolate.the surprises themselves were him being in my chemistry and calculus I class.i was excited as hell!then we transferred to the same university and even before that i was going to apply to 3 universities that he was applying to so that we would be close.turn out that the first university i applied for i attended and same with him and he is attending the same university because of his major and in part of me.sometimes being in love can make you do stupid things! also hanging out with the person on a daily basis is too much love and so is the experiences listed above!you can love your family too much because they are your family and there is no limit of love when it comes to that but the rest such as friends and bf's and gf's is too much when you go over your head!i hope that answered youtr question

Like everything, it depends. Every conceptual thing down to words and ideas can are only creations, thingies that are finite, limited. Our view of love is probably limited and wrong. Anything you love can collapse. I would think unconditional love is better. To love a flower, for instance, and not ask anything more or back. You can put the flower too high, but I'm not convinced you can put love too high. The flower will die but I hope your love never will. Putting it on a flower can be conditional love, in a way. It's great to love everything and everyone, but not be dependant on them, that can suck their energy out of them. The love that is dependant on them asks them to do what you want that makes you feel love. Hm. Any problem there? If they do this or that, I won't love them? That's not to mistaken with taking any guff.

yep baby. sweetheart u must have heard too much of everything is bad. too much of a love makes the other person feel prisoned. instead of feeling attached to u he feels chained to u. its just like u love a nightingale u love her. and so u put her in a cage coz u want to be with it for 24 hours or wanna protect it always. be wid her always. thats loving too much. nightingale wud be sad , wudd be suffocating. she has lost her freedom. so do love love as much as u can. but not so much that ur love becomes a threat to other persons freedom or individuality. By the way nice question.

Read Bishop John Shelby Spong. He recommends "loving wastefully".
Read the lyrics of songs by Malvina Reynolds. She writes of loving "like a fool." Read her song "Magic Penny."
You can give your love freely and expect nothing in return. This lets you become a loving person. Love is something to give, not an exchange commodity to be bargained over with expectation of return.

I don't feel you can love too much. BUT some people do not like it when they encounter someone who loves too much. But can we as caring emotional people deny who we are as loving individuals? Then we negate who we are as people. I guess it is a delicate balance.

Love is always good but it should not swing from love to indifference, from one extreme to the other.that's what makes love problematic. We should avoid hangovers in love matters as it hurts a lot.

Not really, but if the love is an obsession, it could turn out for the worse.
