Sounds good (and wishful thinking), but no, I don't think they need their own category. Eventually the hysteria will die down and the frequency of these questions will lessen (Well, I'm sure that's what we all hope). Diehards could go to fan fiction or find discussions (Amazon has discussions now for individual books, but I don't think they're very big yet.)
For now, I just skip them for the most part. I like Harry Potter and am going to get my copy of book 7 (and hopefully see the movie in a few weeks if I can talk my son into it).
It's been suggested we have a section for young adult.
Yes, a huge percentage of questions are Harry Potter based; after that it will be Stephenie Meyers for a bit (they're already fairly frequent) with Eclipse coming out. Even Lemony Snicket had a pretty good sized chunk of questions when the series came to an end.
You know though, maybe a category like Popular Culture would work (with sub-categories there). For instance, with Harry Potter it wouldn't be just the books, but everything Hogwarts all the time.
Now I'm doing the wishful thinking...
We're going to make it!
P.S. That's pretty funny - they need a room. :)

Yeah. There are a lot of Harry Potter questions filling up the Books & Authors section, and as much as I love the books and the movies, I'm here to answer more than, "Who do you think will die?" questions. It gets a little annoying to see all Harry Potter on the Books & Authors section. We should have a sub-section with Harry Potter, Stephanie Meyer books, Classics, etc. Cool idea. =)

Yeah - much as I am a Harry Potter fan they are starting to clog the place up. And usually with questions that no one can really answer anyway.

yeah! They're crowding up this category anyway, at LEAST every other question you read is harry potter.

YES!!!!!!!! altough i like harry potter, it is just TOO famous! almost every question is about harry potter, its kinda annoying
