I've always learned that Johannes Gutenburg invented the first movable type printer. Then the other day my teacher proved to me that Korea was the first to invent the movable type printing mechanism. Weird?

I'm specifically interested in novels that bounce back and forth between distant and close past tense. Novels that do so fairly obviously would be even better for my purposes; for example, perhaps there are some novels out there in which the odd chapters handle close past and even chapters handle distant past. Or maybe there are novels in which certain chapters are framed? I just don't know; I can't think of any off the top of my head, so I thought I'd ask. Any genre is fine; I'm just looking for unusual structures. Thanks.

I want to read a good book with some love in it in a beautiful place like Cape Cod or Maine or something. I don't want it to be a trashy romance novel though, something with a good reputation.

I am a budding and hopeful children's author...am working on several stories ..but two at the time being...would be curious as to what is cherished by many, and what is needed or wanted/wished for out in bookstores, libraries..and or just for the love of reading enjoyment?

Also, for all of you, please name off some favorite authors and books that you loved growing up,and some later, as you got older...and learned of more writiers and book titles!

Parents, please write, kids too,& anybody also who loves children's magickal or fantasy types of books etc... also science fiction...and basically ALL types of story ideas as well.
Thanks so much!
I appreciate the help!
I also think that it might inspire me some too!
