I really loved Ronald Dahl growing up. He wrote the strangest, most fascinating stories. My favorite story would have to be “Fantastic Mr. Fox”. An interesting thing Dahl did is made the protagonists of almost all his stories either children or lovable animals. It's what got the reader to love the character.

I'd like to see more stories about fairies.. I've always been fascinated by them because in stories they're so little and full of magic.. i also love stories that have adventures and heroes..

some of my favourite books when I was little were Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie, A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, Charlotte's Web by E.B. White, Danny, Champion of the World and James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl

As a kid I absolutely loved Enid Blyton's Famous Five, Secret Seven and in fact most of her books! Having re-read bits of these books as an adult I was somewhat shocked to see that they really are quite sexist and racist and incredibly outdated. I think that there would be a market for an updated version of this type of kids adventure story. They are good stories, just in need of updating.

I would enjoy seeing works in the same category as C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia or Christopher Paolini's Inheritance series (Eragon, Eldest). I love fantasy books like that. I'm looking to write books in the fantasy genre myself.

I appreciate the fact that you want to please your audience, but aren't you going at things the wrong way?
If you want to be a good author, shouldn't you ask other authors for their advice instead?
If you write a good book, people will like it, right?
