Rain trickles down into the valley,
Overflowing past its girth.
And in its abundance;
So prospers does the earth.

And lo the land - how she cries for joy,
And lets loose a dirty tear.
But lo to the men below,
Who cringe in dire fear.

I really want to get the part of either Tzeitel, Hodel, Or Chava in Fiddler On The Roof.
I auditioned yesterday, and the director told me I have a magnificant voice, and he said that the thing he likes about me is that I can change into different characters very quickly.
I can memorize things very quickly. I am 14 years old, but look like I'm 16. I have light brown hair, and greenish bluish eyes. I am 85 pounds, and 5"4. (I am a girl if you didn't realize already).
I have 6 years acting experience, 7 years singing experience, and 8 years dancing experience.
I have acted in these plays before:
My Fair Lady: Chorus
Letters From The Shoah
Annie: 1ST Time- Tessie
2ND Time- Drake
The Little Mermaid: Sebastian
Aladdin: Iago
West Side Story: Action
Sound Of Music: Brigitta
Brighton BEach Memoirs: Cousin Nora
High School Musical: Sharpay
Grease: Frenchy
I know you can't tell me what part I will get, but what part do you think I'll get?

I wonder, if we had memories from the time we weren't born yet, would we want to go back to that time, to that state of not being conscious about ourselves, about suffering and all that? What do you think. If yes, give me arguments.

if you can see behind the shroud
if you can cut right to the chase
if you know not only what but why
then you know who really runs this place.

is insight something you acquire, like knowledge, or something you already have in you, like wisdom? how does one become 'insightful'?

I have been writing this story for a long time and it's been driving me insane that I can't come up with a good title. It's about a medical student who is in her last month or so of medical school and she's worried that she's not ready to be a doctor because she's been sheltered for most of her schooling. She's starting to get closer to her superivising resident who she's had her eye on for a long time but knows it's an unwritten rule that you can't be invovled with your supervisor. Throw in some complicated cases with unexpected results, some interesting patients and another possible love attractrion and you have my story. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help! I spend half the time writing and the other half trying to come up with a better title than "Love and Medicine"

What was so precious to the tribal leaders that they would sell their own people for it? It had to be more than sugar and nic-nacs.

Let alone the entire internet and all its computers. Im talking really really basic consciousness here.

Even a tiny little baby mouse has a consciousness. Imagine a large supercomputer, perhaps even a PC? I do not necessarily mean self-awareness, just conscious awareness.

Seems to me Sam mentioned there was an "Adam" away somewhere.
And if they could pull Anthony out of nowhere, maybe there's a third Lopez-Fitzgerald son. Anyone remember any characters that are "away"?

From Plato, to Descartes, and even Ayn Rand, many philosophers have championed the power of reason as the primary conduit of human knowledge. What is your definition of "reason?"

Trying to write a paper on expansionism, and I'm wondering if contrasting it with imperialism would be a good point or if the two concepts are too similar to do that.

It is small (10" x 12") and isn’t worth anything. My excuses? I was just using up some old paint and several small canvases before starting work on a larger, more complex painting. And I needed some serious ‘goof-off’ time.

But even insignificant paintings ought to have titles. Even serious or even non-serious answers will be taken into consideration.

Thank you, and have fun.

It rained that night,
It rained so hard.
The drops of water, like needles,
Piercing through my brain.
It brought back all those haunting visions
from the past.
And my own tears,
so hot...it hurt.
It hurt to cry.
But I couldn't stop,
Couldn't even try.
I sat there, paralysed.
I couldn't speak.
And the rain outside
it ceased,
Not a gradual halt,
but a sudden sharp break.
The puddle, it'll dry up too.
The same way as my tears do.
Then the rainy day,
it'll cease to be.
Adios, this was the last of me.

Okay I am writing a book on 1940s youth culture. Are there any books that you recommend I read? I have some questions. I am writing a book that takes place in Canada. Was Canada segregated during the 1940s? where can I find out such info? In addition, were there high school cliques during the 1940s? I created my own cliques for high school in the 1940s. Tell me if they seem realistic.
