WW 2 was considered a peoples war because it was a war where every one contributed to the victory.
As for the Vietnam just think of the decade it happened in. There was a lot of political and social upheaval in the 60's. All you have to do is think of the number of changes. Things like black people being given the right to vote.

I'd never really thought about WWII as a "people's war".

However, having said that:

-- WWII had the largest military conscription of any war, ever.
-- War resources were pulled from the "homefront" to be used in the military.
-- Women entered the work force to replace men being conscripted/enlisting.
-- The effect of the war was global, not confined to any specific geographical area.

As for Vietnam, some of the difficulties the US faced:

-- The US military wasn't designed to fight a guerilla war, and tactics applied worked poorly.
-- The news reporting of the war happened MUCH quicker than previous wars, and allowed the US population to react to it quicker (ie, TV viewers could see battles almost live, as oppossed to days or weeks old).
-- Popular opposition to the war itself.

Can't think of a fourth...but I'm sure others will chime in.

WW2 replaced right into an ethical conflict, because the allies were attempting to offer up genocide which may have spread for the time of Europe. WW1 replaced right into a property dispute which i imagine led to wounds in Europe which nevertheless have not healed. Vietnam replaced into incorrect because of the inspiration that the Vietamese may be available to the U. S. as they could be effectively run by the chinese. This skipped over the heritage of the Vietnamese those who continually resisted and overwhelmed chinese invasions contained in the previous. The Iraq conflict isn't a conflict, yet an action hostile to a Dictator who now no longer supported the U. S.. even as Saddam did help the U. S. and promote them his oil, he replaced into bought guns od mass destruction by the U. S.. He replaced into also supported even as Iraq replaced into at conflict with yet another US enemy, Iran.even as he invaded Kuwait and the Kuwait ruilers were American supporters all acceptable were off.
