i have to do a comedy monologue where i wouold have to be a dumb, stupid, worthless, superhero who screws up in everything he does.. i couldn't think of any good way to make my classmates laugh.. im afraid they would think it's too corny.. know any good punchlines or something? and also.. know any good ending? i'm thinking of ending it somthing like a doctor approaches him and it turns out that the superhero was some madman who escaped from an asylum and the doctor drags him out of the scene.. is that okay? also, the monologue should last for 5mins maximum so i cant put in so much to it.. any good ideas on what the flow of the story could be? thanks y'all.. ^_^

how do you know if comedy is the right career for you - if you are the right temperment? I took some of these tests in these comedy books but I don't know if that means that this is the best thing for me or not.
I haven't had that much experience yet, so it's too soon to tell for me.

I'm looking for some interesting stuff to read but I really can't deal with anything that has to do with sex (please don't ask). Fiction, horror, mystery and suspence, whatever. No non-fiction.

The pictures are all supposed to be connected in some way - tell a story I guess. My original idea was the power of words, and I was going to go to a protest and take pictures, but there weren't any protests over this weekend, and I have to have this done by Monday. One of my friends did food as her theme, and another went to a conservatory to take pictures.

I'm really at a loss right now. Anybody have any good, creative ideas?

People grow, mature as they turns into an "adult".
Resolves are made, throughout our life.
Do we stop questioning these "questions" as we grow?
is it because we had found our answers, our resolves to them?

Imagine you have two options. One option would perhaps hurt somebody in the process, but the other would hurt yourself.
How do you decide and what inner process do you go through?

In today's world of reality, why are there so many young people suffered with extremely low self esteem and such low confident level of themselves?? TO BE POPULAR, TO BE SEEN IN ALL THE COOL PLACES, TO BE IN THE COMPANY OF POPULAR FRIENDS, TO BE NOTICED SO BADLY BY OTHERS AND TO FOLLOW THEIR RULES --are all these the RESULT OF NON- ACCEPTANCE AND NON- RECOGNTION so rampantly in schools, colleges, even in universities and in work places!! TO FOLLOW A CROWD OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO MORAL VALUES, DESTROYED DIGNITY AND INTEGRITY OF OTHERS, MANIPULATIVE AND DEVILISH GOALS TOWARDS SELF-DESTRUCTION OF OTHERS-- ARE THE VERY PEOPLE WE SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM !! IT IS BETTER TO SEEK FOR ACCEPTANCE FROM PEOPLE WHO TRULY VALUED YOU THAN SEEKING FOR ACCEPTANCE FROM SELF-CENTERED PEOPLE WHO REALLY PUSHES YOU TO YOUR LIMITS AND EVENTUALLY DESTROY YOU !!Even to the point of losing the most precious possession GOD has given to you!! STAND UP AND BE NOT AFRAID!!

This is a weird question, I know, but I really need answers.
I am an extremely strong believer in past lives, and I know a great deal about mine, mainly through dreams and random triggers.

I really, really want to tap into it and kind of go back. Are there events in the southern states where hundreds of people get together, kind of like a reenactment, but you act oblivious to the modern age? I don't mean like the actual battle, I mean like a ball or party of sorts. But with no modern technology, and you're not allowed to acknowledge this current day and age. Almost like you really are back in time.

Or like, are there towns in southern states where people pretend it is still around that era?

Any and all information is appreciated. Thanks <3

A young woman in her early twenties is leading a no where life when her apartment is broken into while she is there. The robber beats and rapes her leaving her for dead. She ends up ODing on meds because she is so low but then is reincarnated into the robber's daughter ten years later. She knows nothing of her father's past and he has no idea that she is actually the reincarnate of the woman he battered years ago. Fast forward forty years to his deathbed confession, he tells his daughter of his past and asks her to find the woman he hurt so he can clear his conscience before he dies. His daughter, disbelieving his story, goes on a mad hunt for this woman only to find the truth in life. That no matter what someone does, we are fallible and have to take the good with the bad.

Now this isn't some super natural story about God and demons and such, it's just a story about a father-daughter relationship. Would you want to read it?

I'm not a hater, so please bear with me. I just read Elie Wiesel's "Night". There is an avid description of "fire pits" in which living people were tossed into.

To my knowledge, prisoners in Auschwitz were gassed. I have never heard of these fire pits before.

Is it a genuine account or fictitious?

What gives?

Considering the fact that blacks from Africa sold their fellow countrymen into the European slave trade (Source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery#European_slave_trade), shouldn't African-Americans be petitioning African governments for reparations also? I would like answers on the grounds of principle, NOT related to economic reasons (ie. no, because Africa cannot afford it).
