how do you know if comedy is the right career for you - if you are the right temperment? I took some of these tests in these comedy books but I don't know if that means that this is the best thing for me or not.
I haven't had that much experience yet, so it's too soon to tell for me.

you just have to go with what your heart tells you and go with the flow! If you think that is for you then maybe just try it and then see if you like it if not try something else :) good luck

Oh and I have to suggest to you it is always great to try new things and when thay are about making choices about a career it's super important that you try as much as you can and ten if you are stuck between two or more try to follow your heart! Best of luck~*Emma*~

Always have a back up plan. In fact, because you sound unsure, go to college, get a degree in something safe that you like and can fall back on, then pursue your comedy dream. If you do pursue it, don't expect results unless you give 110%

Get a real job first. Most comedy clubs will have an amatuer night or open mic. Give that a shot first.

If people laugh when you tell a joke, it could be a good path. If they just look at you and pretend to smile, forget about it! Go to a club. Have fun. Tell jokes to complete strangers and see what happens.
