I am not a photographer, not professionaly, but I enjoy it as a hobby and hope to learn how to exlore it better.

Please be honest and serious about your opinions. This is not a teenage attempt of receving compliments, I used a friend as the model for the pictures, not myself. Please let me know what you think

I am not asking this for religious reasons so please so no negative responses. I am a huge admirer of Tolstoy since I am a Christian, a Pacifist, a Vegetarian, I identify with the great thinker in many ways. I have always read that he was a Christian and identified himself as a Christian, but recently in reading his 'A Letter to a Hindu' I wondered about that because of a statement he made in the letter, I have pasted it below:

If only people freed themselves from their beliefs in all kinds of Ormuzds, Brahmas, Sabbaoths, and their incarnation as Krishnas and Christs, from beliefs in Paradises and Hells, in reincarnations and resurrections, from belief in the interference of the Gods in the external affairs of the universe, and above all, if they freed themselves from belief in the infallibility of all the various Vedas, Bibles, Gospels, Tripitakas, Korans, and the like, and also freed themselves from blind belief in a variety of scientific teachings about infinitely small atoms and

When two fatal hearts collide with envy
Of each other’s perfect lives
Wanting to live in a way shown simply
Only to wake up to a lie

Embracing emptiness to the bone
Grasping what has never been
Melting into one who stands alone
For anything to make a true friend

Keeping loyalties true to fate
Wishing for something less than perfect
When perfect was never all that great
Because perfect makes past not a regret

Shallow waters pool above the ice
That is frozen ever so deep
Sinking right through would really be nice
Because there would be depth we could keep

But as for today these envious hearts are broken
There’s a lot more headed their way
They talk much yet never have spoken
Because there’s nothing left to say

What do you think it means/ Is it good bad. okay? How could I improve it?

and when someone says that person has no soul, do they mean that that person has no style, no uniqueness?

I have seen this guy around school. When I first walked passed him, I noticed at the corner of my eye that he was staring at me (my face, to be exact.) I looked back at him, and he did not avert his gaze. A couple of days later, I was walking with my friend and telling her about him, then suddenly, he walked passed us! My friend said, "THAT'S HIM?!" sort of loudly, so I'm guessing he probably heard us.

And now, whenever we walk pass each other, I noticed that he'd look straight ahead, then when we're a foot from each other, he'd glance at me for a couple of seconds, then look away. (I saw this at the corner of my eye)

Does he think I like and stalk him? (which I don't!)
Does he think I'm attractive?
What exactly is he thinking?
Next time, should I maintain eye contact and smile?

We don't know each other at all, if that helps.

Do you agree that what you think of someone or a situation is a matter of perception. So if we perceive something or someone one way or another how can we really know the truth?

The main protagonist is an assassin for an organisation of antiwar militant pacifists who have gone beyond peaceful protest to make war on those they see as warmongers. The assassins target is a General who talks to the hero and persuades the assassin that he is wrong. The assassin walks away leaving the General alive.

I'd like to read it again as I've forgotten the arguements used by the General to dissuade the assassin. Thanks.

In the movie "The World of Art" by Edward Bissell is a completely made up book, but the works of art are real. There is one picture where the women is resting (according to Mr. Johnson), but crying (according to Betty Parker). In the caption it claims the work of art is "Women stretched out with arms under neck on a red bed" by Pablo Picasso, but whenever i search for this work, it appears it doesn't exist. What is this piece of art, and where might I find it?

I read it in school and have read it since, and read a good deal of other stuff besides, and now I have very little patience with Holden. I think it's something to do with how Salinger seems to think that Holden really knows something very valuable, whereas he just strikes me as very young and very ignorant. He's quite proud of how much he hates 'phoney' people, and yet he has very little tolerance for anyone he thinks is actually phoney. I get the impression that Salinger has a lot of admiration for Holden, if only because Holden narrates the whole book and there's nobody else there to comment on him, and yet I find Holden to be just a narrow-minded, priggish, self-pitying little squit.

Not that teenagers aren't like that, I was like that myself. The good thing about the book is how accurate it is. But it's not the guide to life that some of its fans think it is. Holden is somebody you have to grow out of being like.

I frequently see this picture [Link below] of a creepy hairy eye on an image forum I visit. I don't know where I've seen it before, but I'm certain I have. I think it's from a video game or a movie of some sort. Someone also suggested a music video, but I still have no clue where the picture's from. I saved it and uploaded it to my yahoo photos here: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/britishcake/photo/294928804225891948/0

If anyone could point me in the direction of finding out where it's from or what it's name is I'd be incredibly appreciative. Thanks!

Is there a site where I can find quotes from recent teen books, like Black-Eyed Suzie and Cut? Or do I have to read them again and find quotes myself. I'm really hoping there is a site that has quotes from books like that. Thanks for you help.

Apparently the team want people who live here to audition, and I would love to. Problem is, I don't know when its coming here. Is there a contact number or email so I can find out? The official Les Miserables page doesn't have a contact on there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
