Life means organisms that are carbon-and-water-based, cellular with complex organization, undergo metabolism, possess a capacity to grow, respond to stimuli, reproduce and, through natural selection, adapt to their environment in succeeding generations.

There is no "meaning of life" in the sense you are referring to.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Life can be a property of matter. Matter that is alive, or life forms, are organisms of a vast variety. Properties common to the known organisms found on Earth – plants, animals, fungi, protists, archaea and bacteria – are that they are carbon-and-water-based, are cellular with complex organization, undergo metabolism, possess a capacity to grow, respond to stimuli, reproduce and, through natural selection, adapt to their environment in succeeding generations.

An entity with the above properties is considered to be an organism. However, not every definition of life considers all of these properties to be essential. For example, the capacity for descent with modification is often taken as the only essential property of life. This definition notably includes viruses, which do not qualify under narrower definitions as they are acellular and do not metabolise. Broader definitions of life may also include theoretical non-carbon-based life and other alternative biology.

Although it cannot be pinpointed exactly, evidence suggests that life
GOD

Life, is a precious gift from God. He gave us life so some one could be with Him, and to experience His richness and glory. He gave us life so He may have sons and daughters to take good care of His creations in this world, and so He wanted us to feel the happiness that He already have. Each one of us that has life, must have their own purpose in Him...and one of those is to make others felt the unfailing love of God, which is also through each others.

seriously, we go through our lives trying to figure out the meaning of our individual lives, yet the thing is we can only really know when our lives are nearing the end and you look back. until then, the meaning of your life is what you make of it, so make it one you would want to look back on.

Your life is of purpose,, you were born for a reason.
Your life is for living,, but not only for yourself, but also
for others . . including your love ones...

Make the most of it.. as there's time left.. because
our time is limited . . A time to be born and a time
to die..

We are purposely put on this earth planet for a reason..

We are the creation of GOD.. your life belongs to him.
