I need to take some product shots, but i dont know if there is a better way to create water drops on top of the bottle, than with water itself.

As a product photographer myself I personally use a water sprayer filled with a combination of water and glycerine. It makes the most perfect water drops. Food photographers also use glycerine a lot, it especially works well if you brush it onto meats to give it that nice sheen. Another benefeit is that if you are using hotlights, glycerine holds up better in terms of evaporation. If you want to buy some go check out the following link.

what kind of product? if its sesitive to water..you could try a little coating of vegetable oil before spritzing som water on....I also think if you try a craft store or a bridal store you may be able to get some fake water drops if that doesnt work you can make waterdrops by using clear liquid glue. Let it drip out onto some saran wrap or tinfoil into whatever size drip, drop or small puddle shape that you want. When it drys it should lift off easily.

I agree with Wackywall. Being a photographer as well I also use the spritzer bottle with water and glycerin.

I would think oil would be better, more viscous. Also, you could use a glue gun to create permanent drops, which would harden.
