We really know the truth if we care enough to ask deeper questions, thoughtful questions of the one we perceive.
We are closer to knowing the truth when we put aside our assumptions and ask for understanding. If you walk in this world without ever putting yourself in anothers shoes you will never know the truth about another.
When I was young my grandmother said :"nothing in this world is black and white"
Those words have stuck with me.
People make judgments about others too quickly to know the others point of view. When we make split second assessments they inevitably have more to do with us than the other person...our fears, experience and mind set.
It is best to study our own human-ness and perceive others as their higher self. When we understand why people behave the way they do, for the most part it is because they are doing the best they can with the situation they are in......we all have room to be more aware.
Look at people with love compassion and understanding-thoughtfulness. Then you will glimpse the things that make us tick.
Directly about your wording...yes it IS ALL IN HOW WE PERCEIVE THINGS...it defines who we are as individuals.

The human being perceives with the five senses. However these five senses send a message to your brain determains what you perceive. You can't be 100% certain of the truth but you can make an educated guess. It's how the world works.

It is somewhat a matter of perception. We as a race have agreed upon some definite constructs of reality but then there is individual experience which can colour a view of what is being viewed.. The truth apparently isn't "out there" but is within yourself . What we have trouble with is trusting that truth within us because we have been trained to look outside of ourselves and that our thoughts and opinions have no importance. It's a hard one to reckon with. But inner trust is important for evolving

nicely, confident, the guy who's perceiving is utilising the mechanics of perception. genuine? besides the undeniable fact that, that brings us to the question of "who's the perceiver?" And for this there is no perception given which you won't be able to fathom your source of information. you have got an theory of it, a picture on your strategies, yet that that's basically an theory and isn't any longer the element itself, basically the image you have made up approximately it. Do you notice this factor? for this reason, in case you go with to comprehend the Divine Presence, you will desire to quit to formulate pictures interior the strategies. that's particularly like the previous saying: strategies, be nonetheless, and comprehend that "i'm" God. -- your source of information is an expression of the Divine strategies.

“Perception is strong and sight weak. In strategy it is important to see distant things as if they were close and to take a distanced view of close things.”
“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing.” ~ Camille Pissarro
It's not ALL a matter of perception. Certainly many things initially are. What the mind believes... it makes reality.

Truth itself is a perception.
We can never see things for what they are, only percieve what they are.
All we can do then is percieve and to have possibility of change within that perception

Sometimes you may not know the truth. Will we ever know if OJ killed NIcole? If mobsters killed Marilyn Monroe? Nope.
Some truths are ephemeral.
What if you start forgetting? Is your memory still the truth?
