If you want to be an actor - the best thing to do is start acting. Find out where the next audition is - and go. You don't have to take classes or go to college and get a degree - but eventually - it will very likely work out to where the people who are getting training in their craft will be getting the good roles - and you won't.

It's a difficult carreer. Very time consuming. The best place to start is to check out how driven you are. Very few make it if they don't have the drive.

As for wanting to create a movie - well - do you know anybody with a lot of money who will invest it in your idea and let you star in the film?

The traditional methods are falling away quickly. All you need to do is follow the steps of others making the same path. Places like MySpace, iFilms, YouTube, and the like are all ways to present talent to the world in the blink of an eye. All you need to have is a strong heart: it will either expand from all you recieve, or break from all people say about you.

Good or bad all that matters is that you try. Nothing makes life bold or bright as much as a dream.

Always,

Jaime

"I don't dream at night, I dream all day; I dream for a living." - Steven Spielberg

"A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams." - John Barrymore

"How many of our daydreams would darken into nightmares, were there a danger of their coming true!" - Logan Pearsall Smith

"Dream no small dreams for they have no power to move the hearts of men." - Goethe

Well you can start by writing a script for yourself and a couple of your friends or family, then you all should rehearse the line and play them out on a video camera. then you should either walk up to producers to have them to scripts or to watch the movie or you can invest with some money into your own studio production. A lot of independent films have benn getting good recognition lately so breaking into the business shouldn't be hard after that. Good Luck!!

You need to check out acredited agencies in your state and sign up with them. It is really good if you have some kind of experience and a resume for yourself.
You will need to create a digital folio for your self that includes a close up headshot and also a body shot.
On the back of your folio you should have your resume

hope this helps

a lot of actors I know said acting school was a lot of money and they learnt very little. why not try some acting classes and see how you like it? with technology now a days you could easily get a small camera to be creative with. if you are thinking a high quality movie they cost lots and lots of $$$
