This is a weird question, I know, but I really need answers.
I am an extremely strong believer in past lives, and I know a great deal about mine, mainly through dreams and random triggers.

I really, really want to tap into it and kind of go back. Are there events in the southern states where hundreds of people get together, kind of like a reenactment, but you act oblivious to the modern age? I don't mean like the actual battle, I mean like a ball or party of sorts. But with no modern technology, and you're not allowed to acknowledge this current day and age. Almost like you really are back in time.

Or like, are there towns in southern states where people pretend it is still around that era?

Any and all information is appreciated. Thanks <3

Previous answer is absolutely inaccurate.
War reenactments are very common but NOT the only type, nor are they held simply in the south.
My ex belongs to a group focused on black powder shoots, with authentic costumes and camps. Not war related at all, and based in Northern Calif. And I would guess that Renaissance fairs have similiar get togethers.
Try running reenactment costumes through google, and find some of the retailers that offer such clothing. They may be able to refer you to some of the groups for different periods.
And you definitely should make time to trace your lineage with documentation. Correlate what you feel with records.
