What an interesting question. But I have to ask, do you mean happy for a minute or so, or generally happy?
Example...I'm dealing with alot of grief at the moment, so I wouldn't say I'm happy. But, I do feel happiness for moments each day, like when I watch my cats, watch someone do something nice or listen to a good song. So, I think you can be happy & sad at the same time. When I was in Vegas recently I felt really happy, though still sad throughout the whole trip. I think we learn to try to be happy even through grief.

Happy? Happy happens from time to time. I remember the last time I felt really content though, and that was about 25 years ago. Content is just as fleeting, but much more satisfying.

Happiness can't be determined by a specific time period in your life, I've had times that I was truly happy, but then something horrible would happen to ruin it. I look day to day and count the small periods of joy I find there.

Yes, just a couple hours ago when I had a lovely dinner with a nice lady friend and we both had lamb chops prepared Basque style with lots of butter and garlic. Mmmmmm... it was good and I was haaaaappy!!
I was also grateful that a cute little lamb made the ultimate sacrifice that I could have a tasty dinner. Mmmm.. good!!!

I was very happy on my birthday ie.18th August when my family members surprised me with their love and affection. Yesterday also I was happy, when I was sleeping till 10am due to day off and it was raining here in Delhi, India and during that time my mother prepared my favorite dish, which I very much like during rain. I felt so happy and obliged that I prepared a blog for my mother and dedicated it to her.

This morning, right before I left the garage, and looking out my visor mirror, not the side mirrors, and seeing nothing, I backed out and hit my husbands car. Never will I live this down... I scraped the drivers door, funny thing is I could have stoped sooner, except my husband didn't clean the drive, and it sounded like I was driving on the snow.

Yes
I went to bed last night forgetting every thing, gave up my identity and with faith rested in the love of god, dreamt of nothing and woke up really happy that I do not have to unnecessarily worry of anything.
